How old was your child when you started cloth diapering?

I've been curious about this. I started Emily from birth, but with Christopher, it was months before I got brave enough. Even then, I only used cloth part time because the daycare wouldn't use cloth.

Now that I am at home, Emily was in cloth 100% of the time. I watch another baby and keep her in cloth over here too. I started watching her when she was about 14 months.

I started using cloth on my ds when he was 7 weeks old. I probably would have started earlier, but our washing machine was in the shop for 3 weeks!!!

This next baby I'm hoping will never touch a sposie!

I didn't start with CD until Kieran was about 18 months old. Gemma has been in CD since birth.

I *tried* to cloth diaper Sahara from birth ...but what I had didn't fit and didn't work so it wasn't till she was about 3 months old that someone pointed me towards online diaper shopping and we were back to it.

Sophie was 7 months old when we started. I had planned to use cloth when I was pregnant but hadn't gotten around to buying I had just done some research when I went into labor at 35 weeks. Needless to say I had a crappy birth and the weeks and months after were horrid and it wasn't a priority. Not to mention that I got enough sposies at my shower for most of the time she wore them.

Lily was 3 months. I was never brave enough to try it with Aden, I thought I would hate it...

i planned on cloth from the start, but didn't end up actually making the switch with my first until she was 9-mos old. i bought some gerber prefolds (the kind with the sponge in the middle) before she was born and was planning on using those ad diapers. when they wouldn't even soak up the milk i leaked in the early days or a small amount of spitup i couldn't imagine they would work as diapers and i didn't know there were other options.

my second was in cloth from the time she was about 8 hours old (was diaperless before that).

DS was 3.5mo old when we started cding. I didn't know that cloth was more than bleaching pfs and rubber pants : On another board, I read about Julia (averymybaby)'s move into cding and starting researching it on my own. Now I have converts With my next one, I'm doing cloth 100% of the time from birth

Ds was 9 months old. We've been in cloth full time for almost exactly one year. Friday is our 'cloth anniversary'.

With my DS I didn't know about online diapering goodies, so I asked for some covers for Christmas presents after her was born (1 month later). I had some smalls on hand and pre-historic PFs from my MIL. After Chrsitmas, I just used Bummis Wisper Wraps and some AWEFUL PFs... Gerber gauze with non-absorbent polyester fluff. Ugh! I hated it. Leaks and ick. They were so bulky, too. When he was about 1 he figured out how to take off his diaper and he was a real mess for too long. I gave it up.

Flash forward to when Cicely was born. I had some cloth on hand. Just some thin pfs and again, I used the prehistoric PFs and some used NB covers I got off Ebay. Again, it was ok. I was much more commited having a daughter and not wanting gel to even think about causing toxic shock. So... I started hanging out here. I bought some used AngelWraps off the TP in small...and the were SO CUTE!!! OMG! That's when it all started... I discovered that Cloth Was Cool!!! Soon after I got Jude into cloth. He LOVED it. I LOVED it. All is great!

Jude goes potty now, but still sometimes pulls out his favorite Sunflower Derrieres yellow UBCPF and asks to be changed! It's so cute. I've since retired the yellow PF and he now gets to play with it in his toy box.

Ahhh, I LOVE cloth.

My first was in sposies, I wish I had known how awesome cloth diapers were but I was young and she was my first baby. I just didn't know.
I found out about cloth when Sara was about 3 months old, I bought some Fuzzi Bunz and it started from there. She's 2 1/2 now and has been in cloth since.

Jack has been cloth diapered since birth The first thing on his little tush was a Kissaluv and he has only worn a sposie 2-3 times max.

And we want to have one more baby someday and I plan on CD'ing from birth again and hopfully no sposies at all.

DD was 7 months old. I was just clueless before that, didn't even know anyone still CDed. Thankfully, some nice ladies educated me!
