Hey, I'm in labor!

I decided to get a move on and took the kids to a slide at the top of a hill yesterday so that I would be doing some good stair/hill walking and they could have fun.
Then I tried my hardest to relax at night so I could get a good night's sleep. I had a half a glass of wine and went to bed. But I had contractions all through the night. Nothing abnormal, but I was a bit frustrated that I couldn't sleep well. So I finally got out of bed at 8 am to time the contractions since my hip hurt and I was too uncomfortable to stay there.
8:05, 8:09...nice long contractions. And 8:22 rolled around and nothing So I went to the bathroom and lost my mucus plug and have bloody show!!! WOO WOO!
I called my midwife to give her a heads up and I had a really long contraction while I was talking to her at 8:26. I'ts now 8:50 and I've had 2 more since then. They aren't super intense because I can still talk through them and all. But I checked my dilation on Friday and I was 4 cm. I let my midwife check me yesterday and she confirmed my 4 cm assessment and said I'm about 75% effaced.
My kids are still in bed and I wish I were too. But I'm not comfy enough to sleep. Oh well. At least I'll be meeting my lil one today
My due date was 2/6

Awww tell me about your baby
I don't know if I'm still in labor. I lost a chunk of my plug and have had bloody show all day but the contractions are not settling into any sort of pattern. I even go for a whole hour without one. But my lower back is achey and I'm grumpy and feeling whiny.

It won't be long now! Maybe tonite.... lots of times you end up waiting for the little ones to go to sleep.

I had a boy, Luka on 1/25.... here's a link to his birthstory & pics

Yup. I was trucking along until they woke up. And now I'm having a hard time with getting labor to really progress. I think I've dilated more because I keep getting pink tinged stuff. The only problem is that my kids don't go to bed til like 10 pm. I need a nap! But D is taking a nap right now since he had to wake up early for work. I guess we'll go in shifts.
Off to read your birth story! I love the name Luka

Thank you for hte labor vibes. I could really use them. I feel like it's been dragging on all day without progress. My midwife is going to come over in about 2 hours.
