UPDATE: I had to go to ER L&D last night :(

I feel awful and when I think about my DH being up since 2am, the feeling is even worst. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary yesterday but I awoke in the night and the room was spinning fast. I sat up slowly and the room began to spin faster. So I laid back down and all of a sudden I began to :Puke uncontrollably. I even fainted. When I awoke I started vomitting again. In between I start yelling for DH to come help (I thought I was yelling but I was whispering, my hearing was going too) he didn't hear me at all. I fainted again and when I came to this time DH heard me and said what is that smell. At that point I could not hear at all. DH saw what was going on and loaded the car, got DS, and ran us to ER around 3:30. My hearing returned periodically and then completely by 5am however I continued to feel dizzy. They finally sent us home at 7am stating my blood sugar was low but everything else was normal Just happened that my blood was not getting back to my brain fast enough that caused me to faint.

I'm just glad that's all over. Anyway hope all is well with you ladies!

UPDATE: I'm back in ER :

Oh you poor thing!! Huge hugs to ya mama! Hang in there! Hope that never happens again!

Oh, my dear God. Low blood sugar can cause that extreme a reaction?? I'm shocked--I've never heard of this before, especially with the hearing loss. It sounds absolutely horrible, and I'm so sorry it happened to you. I can't imagine how frightened you must have been. I know that feeling, in a milder form, of that terrible dizziness causing nausea--it's one of the worst feelings there is.

Please let us know if you get any more information about this.

Oh what a horrid experience! I am so sorry! I am so glad that you and the baby are okay!

I remember having a similar experience on an international flight five months pregnant with dd. I arrived and vomited over and over and over again all the way thru the airport. I had to catch a rental car schedule and was hurrying thru the Milan maplensa airport just running from trashcan to trashcan vommiting. I felt like all I wanted was a bed and something to eat. I remember it as this dizzy haze where I wasn't even very clear what was going on around me.

Your body sure doesn't take any #$@ from you when you are pregnant.

Thanks for the hugs. We are doing much better today. It seems like a dream now. DH said I should go get check out for vasocal (sp?) syncope (aka unexplained fainting spells). We'll see what the OB has to say on Monday.

So glad to hear you are doing better. And don't feel bad about DH... much better for him to lose sleep and make sure you are okay!
