I have a 7 y/o boy who comes to my school 2ce a week for English. He is from a wealthy upper middle class family, only child and wants for nothing (materialy). He has been on the accademic treadmill though, since he was 2.

I see this as a result of the pressure, the lack of time for him to do "nothing" etc.

My questions are:



a) when does this kind of behavior resolve itself/die out
b) should I gently point out when I catch him
c) other
