Hello,
I just thought I would share my experience here. I had my baby in June. The birth did not go at all as planned and we ended up at the hospital (from a planned home, water birth) with just about every intervention save a C- Section.
So I have been pretty depressed. Cora turned 8 months today. About 2 weeks ago I decided to go totally off sugar. It was really hard at first -- I really like my sweets. But I was desperate for anything that might help me feel better.
It was amazing. After 2 days I felt like a totally different person.
I felt like myself again. I don't really know if there is a connection between sugar and depression. But for me, this really was the key.
I am a big fan of Ben and Jerry's. So I doubt I will keep this up forever. But I will slowly ease sugar (in more natural forms) back into my diet and see what happens.
Has anyone else had this experience?

Might help, won't hurt.
