Help me count!

So I was laying in bed last night and couldn't sleep because I was sure my due date was off by a few days...so I got out of bed and got out the calendar...

okay. So my last period (I'm not sure what the "technical abbreviation" for that is-LOL) started on January 1st..which was a Saturday. If I count up the weeks from there...it says I will be 8 weeks this Friday, however the online tickers are telling me I'm like...7 weeks 2 days. Am I right? I'm really starting to confuse myself. I need some confirmation either way! Thanks.

well I think you're right...maybe you need to go into your ticker and see what information you have in there..maybe you entered something wrong...length of your cycle can change things...mine is 2 days off...going by LMP because I O'd on cd 16 not 14 so I am 2 days behind...

I've learned to be efficient while kneeling at the toilet waiting to hurl (my new nickname is "hurley")...

I brought the calendar in with me and counted. YAY! I was 2 days off on my ticker
that means i'm 7 weeks and 4 days. That's just so awesome.

My LMP was the same as you (New Year's Day). My ticker is also wrong. I've tried everything to fix it, I think I may have to go in and fudge the due date so the numbers actually line up. Silly thing.

Can we help me with this also? I also have a LMP of Jan 1st and O'd on day 16. So whats my due date? I haven't seen the midwife yet and I can only find online trackers that go by LMP. Help me please! THis is my 4th and my kids are always right on time so I am really curious about the date!

According to my software if you got pg on January 16th your EDD is October 9th.

I have found the same issue happens at my midwives' office. I always figure how far I am by increasing the number of week every Thursday since I oed on a Thursday. However for whatever reason over the course of the pg it doesn't quite work out that way I guess because of the length of different months and so forth. It all squares up by the end of the pg but in the middle sometimes they think I'm a day or two behind where I think I am.
