You can get on the waiting list for a Baker's Dozen, but it's going to be at least 8 months.

At least is right - I've had my number for 9+ months and honestly she hasn't moved much closer to my number then she was 9 months ago!

I emailed for a #. We are hoping for another babe in 2006, so maybe by the time (s)he is a medium we'll have a nice rim set of dipes! :LOL

Yeah, I got on the list too.. I hope that by the time my number comes up we'll have #2. Or at least be expecting them. :LOL I don't think there's any hope of getting my order in before this munchkin potty trains.

Are they asking for a deposit for the wait list?
I emailed her right away too, but didn't get a reply or #... did anyone else?
I didn't get a reply or a number yet, but I'm sure she's busy!

Anyone know if you were already on the list before today if the old pricing applies? After waiting all this while, I'd be a little + : if the new pricing would apply.

I don't think there is a deposit for the wait list. If you got a # last year I think she's still honoring the old pricing. And she IS BUSY...her 3yo has a broken leg, she's due in April, she's doing fluff factory auctions & her dog is dying.

i got in on the party pretty late, but we're not even TTC #2 yet, so maybe we'll be ok

If you are on the old wait list the old prices apply still!

Yowzers!!!!! I'm glad I got mine when I did! I just got a box from her (my # was 240) and got another # just in case, but I'm trying to quit my job so I doubt I could afford those prices I my elbees but that's pretty steep for a fitted dipe on a limited income. Glad I've got some at least!

I was actually thinking she should have raised the prices even more than she did, considering it takes her a year to get through her waiting list! :LOL

That's great news!

Has anybody heard back from her yet about a number?

I agree! I see elbees go for far above retail on ebay and the TP all the time. Just recently I watched a used wool cover go for $76. I don't think the new prices are out of line. Its about time Laura got paid what her time is worth!

No need to get on the list. My kids will be PT buy the time my number would come up

honestly, i thought her prices would be higher too. i was thinking about el bees the other day (imagine that). so, i'm guessing it takes 2 hours to make a dipe. just a guess. it may take more but binding and such takes a bit of time. and laura does have paid help. so, if she pays $8 an hour to her seamstress that's $16. and organic fabrics are more $$$ than non-organics. i'm not really up on fabric prices but say a diaper is $8 in fabrics, well, then that's already $24.

i think we are gonna see a trend in wahms increasing their prices. and i kinda think that they should. there will always be a market for more affordably priced dipes such as fuzzis and other wonderfully crafted wahm dipes. but, for those of us who like the occasional "luxury" dipes, well, expect to pay more.

oh, and it's totally cool that she is honoring the old prices with those already on the list. very, very nice.
