We are buying a house. It is a smalelr house than we are used to. We are fine with getting rid of stuff and living with less. We are actually a bit excited about it

So, we will have to use and take advantage of every closet space and pantry and wall.

Got any good tips?? I don't care if I've thought of them already. I want to hear everything!

What works what doesn't?

I'm so excited!!!

Haha! Congratulations on your new house! We did the same. We have one tiny closet that must serve for all 3 AND be our linen closet. Here are some things that help me.

Only have one more than what you need of things. Eg if there are 3 of you, then have 4 place settings.

Look up. Don't forget about vertical space when planning storage.

If you haven't touched it in the last year, get rid of it. If you forgot you owned it, get rid of it. Get rid of anything that you are hanging onto "just in case".

"Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful. " ~ William Morris

Good luck!

Yeah, in 03 we went through Hurrican Isabel and we had wished she would taken out our house and not someone elses. WHy? BEcause it would have been easier to lose it all than to have to weed through it. We had all of our important things like family photos and videos and clothes safe but the rest could have gone.

Vertical space...good advice
