Update: Released from hospital w/ inner ear infection

I was released from the hospital yesterday and saw an Ear Nose Throat Doctor. He told my DH that I may have an inner ear infection (I have complete loss of hearing in the left ear). The treatment would be a high dose of steriods for 15 days an then lowering the dose after. At that point they would re-check my hearing to see if the steriods did anything.

To many ifs and maybes for me so I am getting a second opinion. I am not taking steriods while I'm pregnant no matter what they say. I can still hear in my right hear.

Anyway I just want to let you ladies know that I am out of the hospital but still with dizziness and nausea. The baby is fine. I have dilate to 2 and still on track. Hope all is well with you all

Really, steriods for an ear infection?? Never heard of that.

Hey girl, wow- I am very sorry. That has to be scary to be dizzy like that and for sure no fun! What state do you live in? If you live in Michigan PM me and I will give you the name of a great ENT Doc. I have had many ear problems including a tumor and I know the best docs in the metro area!
