Woohoo! My waters broke!!

Around 1am I felt my waters seep out! I said to my dh "uhoh, I think I just lost my mucus plug", but it turned out to be a constant leak all night! I have had a towel stuffed between my legs all night. I cannot believe it is still only February and I haven't even reached my due date! I was waiting for the contractions to begin, but only have had a couple of mild ones. With my last dd, my membranes ruptured whilst nursing my older dd to sleep and within an hour I was in labor. It is strange not to have anything start yet, but I am certainly on the way !!!!!!!!!!! I will call my mw soon to let her know. Didn't get much sleep from excitement and disbelief and the expectation that any minute now labor would begin.

I just wanted to share.

Sending you great labor vibes!!! My water broke during the night with my DD and I remember my MIL telling me the same thing happened to her with DH, and she just grabbed a towel and went back to sleep- so that was what I did too! :LOL

I am so excited.... Do you know if you are having a boy or a girl?? So far we have 3 girls born!!! This is a great week!

Both of my kiddos water broke at night. But mine were more like your last dd, the contractions started immediately and hard.

Thanks for all your good wishes mammas. Nothing cooking yet! Fortunately, we had a rare babysitter arranged for today for the girls so that worked out well. I have been busy vacuuming and picking up after the girls, (they chose today to dump stuff on the floor in every room :LOL ). I plan to try and rest while they are gone and go for a vigorous walk up a hill when they return, (as suggested by a mw friend). Maybe my dh and I will fool around a little too to get things moving. The phone hasn't stopped ringing since I e-mailed all my friends and it is an exciting day..........................Turns out because it is a full moon today, another client of my mw water broke last night too around 6pm and the back up mw who we used last time is at another birth. I don't know who will be at mine, but I am okay with that. I'll keep you posted.
