Full moon or just weirdness? Did my water break.?

Was this my water breaking??

So last night around nine we returned from a dinner with some friends and while dh was putting dd down I had to go pee like ten times in row in like forty minutes. I kept going back and back and this very watery non yellow stuff kept trickling out. After I would stand up a little would dribble out and then that was it. I had some pain and pressure in my pelvis but nothing I would qualify as contractions. . . . hmmmm. I stuck a cloth pad on and it was slightly damp this morning but not soaking. . .

Anyway with dd my water didn't break till I hit transition so I don't even remember what it was like, my contractions were so strong at the time.

Maybe its just a full moon trick. . . . . so anyway I went to bed and nothing so far this morning. . . .

It is hard to tell the difference sometimes.
My water has only broken during transition as well, so I still don't know what to expect.
My MW says that the water breaking is either a gush or just a dripping down the legs you cannot stop.
A couple of times I felt strangely wet and did not know what was going on, but then it just stopped - it was not amnio fluid in my case.
She said that I should sit on a paper bag to make sure - if it just gets damp, then it is not amnio fluid. If it gets WET, then I should give them a call.

Yep it sounds like you water broke. With my DD I had a very high break so it kinda just trinkled out. No gushing like you hear from other women- that came later in the pushing stage I had my DD 3 days later, but I was having mild cx not painful just "there" type cx about the same time my water broke.

I wa shaving some full moon weirdness last night too. I told the babe if she really wanted to be born at 36 weeks like she showed me last night was THE night to do it. Otherwise she needed to chill and stay put until after march 2 I guess she decided to chill b/c after 3 hours of very close ctrx and lots of pressure, it all stopped.

Ok kind of gross tmi question but did you smell the discharge? For the life of me now I can't recall what amniotic fluid should smell like but anyways it doesn;t smell like urine or your normal discharge smel, so that would be helpful to know what it smelled like.

Smell the towel baby!!! :LOL : I dont remember mine smelling at all- did you have any bloody show? Or have you had any the last few days? Mine kinda came out all at the same time- but it was not a big gob- it was more just pink on the TP

Forgot to mention: MW said that amnio fluid smells like semen. HTH

It sounds like something is happening, though, one way or another! How exciting!

That sounds like my amnio w/ dd, and from my description, mw didn't seem to believe me until she checked me later and decided my water must already have broken. Though mine was a little pink-tinged.

Thanks for all the help. Well I kind of had contractions come and go today. Right now they have totally stopped. They were bad enough this afternoon though that I had to lie down. This is labor has been so cool so far because it really has been streched out over ten days or so so far.
