felting wool jersey

I bought some Navy Blue wool jersey and need to felt it. I do this in my machine, right? How many times? Can I use my Euclan Lanolizing Wool Wash (no rinse stuff)? Or can I use baby shampoo? Also, how much will it shrink? I got 2 yards and am hoping to make a 2 layer cover with it.

Sorry to sound so dense.

Thanks!

I actually didn't felt mine. I'm just very very careful not to let it land in the wash. It works great and I didn't have to worry about too much shrinkage.

I agree with Kerrie, if it's a really thin jersey you might want to opt for three layers but if it's a midweight to heavyweight then two should be enough. And without shrinkage I can make 3 two layer covers from two yards.
