Prenatel Yoga & Pilates...

Hi!
I just bought a couple prenatal yoga videos on ebay (2 for $10). I am really impressed with Yoga Mama, by Crunch workouts! Its great, medium intensity but easily adaptable. I felt great afterwards!!! It better then any of my other yoga videos, I will continue to use it even after the baby. My DH even does it with me . Anyway, I just wanted to let you mamas know. I also got Zenmama by naturaljourneys that I will try today.

Have any of you tried the prenatal pilates?? Any recommendations?

i was wondering about this too. Would there be any reason not to do a regular pilates video if you had never done pilates before?

I like all of the non-prenatal crunch yoga movies. I think I'll have to check out the yoga mama ones!

I have been doing my regular pilates video (for machine, not floor) with no problems thus far. I do plan to rent a pregnancy pilates video later to compare and get new ideas but I can't seem to find a machine, pregnancy specific one.

I think it is after the fourth month that we have to stay off our backs, right? So unitl then, everything seems rather do-able as far as pilates goes.

have fun,

I have zen mama, which i have just gotten and tried once. I really liked it. Also I went to my first prenatal class at my regular yoga studio and speaking to the teacher, her favorite prenatal video is the one by Shiva Rea. I will probably still continue going to regular classes ( all the teachers are prenatal trained at this place) but it sure was nice to be in calss with all those bellies! And to change my practice to be more baby centered and to come from a different angle of self love and self care feels beautiful.

I asked my midwife about prenatal excersize. I have the video I used last pregnancy but I wanted to try something new, I REALLY want a prenatal belly dancing video but it costs about $50. So my midwife reccomended one called FitMama that has salsa dancing, yoga, and labor prep excersises on it. It looks good, we plan to pick it up at Target when i'm feeling better. (Been sick, fever & slight cold. I've beenin bed all weekend).
