NOCIRC ad in "Pittsburgh Parent" magazine...

Pittsburgh Parent is a local free magazine that is distributed everywhere in Pgh.

I'm so excited to see this!!! There is a whole section dedicated to
babies and motherhood in Pittsburgh Parent magazine, and right in
the beginning, there's an ad from NOCIRC Pittsburgh that
says "IGNORE THE MYTHS, GET THE FACTS" and it shows a screaming
baby, and then it says "www.nocirc.org" and call the Pittsburgh
NOCIRC CENTER at 412-445-5570...

I didn't even now we had a NOCIRC center here! I know there's a huge
billboard in Oakland that is ANTI-CIRC (it was on the news a few
months ago) but I had no idea that we had a CENTER here!! woo-hoo!!!!

the more publicity the better! YEAH! It'll at least make people ask questons instead of deciding to circ out of tradition or myth.

You might want to check with them about writing an article about circumcision for the magazine. Usually, these small publications are desparate for material to fill their pages and some will even pay you for your writing. I have written articles, the last one in the early 1990's and was paid $400.00 for it.

There are NOCIRC local chapters all around the country. You can find a list of them at the NOCIRC website. (www.nocirc.org) They can all use volunteers!

Actually, there are billboards all around the country. There is also one in Washington, DC, at least one in Florida and maybe two and one in Kansas City. There may be others I am not aware of.
