Holy Cow. I think I went through withdrawl as well.

Since I couldn't spend all day on the computer, I went for walks with the fam every day and our son learned how to ride a bike . The things that happen while you are MDC free . On the other hand, Sat. the weather started doing something weird; it has been like 70 every day, and will continue for at least the next week. Dh left for Jackson Hole Wyoming with the comp. kids for a competition and will not be home for a week. I immediately went and spent money : He gave me money for a new pair of sandals for my birthday, but my brother lives in L.A. and said he's gonna get me the pair I want( Chaco $95) for $50. I think I could get into some serious trouble if I went to visit him :LOL Also, My inlaws bought me a new sewing machine for my b-day. Which is great! But I don't know how to even turn one on, let alone find this *bobbin* everyone talks about. Hans can sew really well, so I have to wait a week for him to get back before I learn what the foot thing is for :LOL

Cynthia, Lucy is Sarah's dd...mine is Kate. :LOL So many babies to keep up with. My grandmother died yesterday, so we're going to her funeral this weekend. I'm pretty sure I'll be beat next week...so maybe we can get together the next week....

70 degrees! holy cow.

Tristan has an intestinal bug. GROSS. Nasty poos.

All of you on the caravan, why don't you stop here? It's bright and sunny, it will cheer you up.

Stacey... sorry about your grandma.

An intestinal bug? That does NOT sound fun....

Kate has started making the peradactyl squeals...what IS that? :LOL

Thanks, Jen, she was in a lot of pain so this is for the best.

My poor little baby has not been feeling good, I'm not sure what is going on. She didn't even wake up crying as much as she does now, when she was a little newborn. Normally she stirs a little, I give her the boob while sleeping and we are all happy. But the past few nights she just wakes up crying and doesn't want to nurse at all. Then today she broke out in a rash on her forehead, big, red, and blotchy. So then I was thinking maybe she is sick or something and the rash is connected with the waking up crying thing. Who knows?

Tomorrow we are going swimming, it will be the first time for LaRue in a pool. My mom got her pool all heated up and since it's been really hot here, I think in the 80s, hot enough that I need to turn on the air conditioning in the car, it will be nice. Chloƫ's been so anxious to go swimming.

Just popping in to say "hi!"

FF - hope LaRue perks up.

Thinking of your family, Stacey.

Jen - heard about that position for Jo yet?

Happy Birthday to all you birthday girls and boys!
ff, hope that larue is feeling better soon...

jo has not yet sent in her application materials, the job closes end of march. interview probably in april. still, keep fingers crossed.

i was putting t down for a nap and he always seems to wake up when I try to pull my hand out from underneath him - this time he was still mostly asleep so I ducked down next to the co-sleeper - he fussed a bit and I was ready to stand up and pick him up and rock him again when he went silent - I cautiously stood back up and peeked over the edge to see that he had pulled his Silky (a square of silk with knotted corners) over his face and had fallen right asleep.

yes, I did remove it from his face before I left the room.

Off to have a morning while he naps.

Jen, Kate does that with her lovey right before she goes to sleep and right when she wakes up. She seems to be taking a big whiff of it. It's adorable, but it does sometimes make me nervous about suffocation....even though it's really light and doesn't cover her whole face.... I'm a worry wart, though.

Kate is feeling good, but is still a little congested and has a really runny nose. I really want to fly to my grandmother's funeral tomorrow. But I'm afraid it will cause Kate to get sick again. Any thoughts???
So sorry to hear about your grandmother Stacey! I would fly if it were me but I dont know if that is good advice or not.

Makynzi is not only making the pteradactyl(sp?) noises she has now figured out how to do the temper-tantrum scream. When she gets mad she no longer cries but screams and it sounds just like the noise that comes with 2-year old temper-tantrums. How in the world did she figure that one out? LOL I know its probably just a coincidence but she definately seems to do it on purpose. Restfull sleep has been nonexistant around here too. She will wake up in the middle of the night crying and nothing will calm her. She will refuse to nurse. Sounds just like your thing FF but she doesnt have a rash on her head. Although her butt did break out in a huge red blister looking thing last night. I even put her in a disposable to try and keep it from getting worse during the night.

Leomom- IMO, you'r child will go through colds for the rest of her/his? life, you only have one chance to go to a funeral, KWIM? I guess I'm jaded though, Bryn has been sick with colds, croup and ear infections for 2 months now, so I may not be the best person to say something about it.
Ahhhh.....the pteradactyl squeal! Anna does that one, the growling bear, the barking dog, the chirping bird.

DH and I sometimes wonder whether we should take her to the ped or the vet.

She makes SO much noise. She's my 3rd child, so I'm used to baby sounds, but none of the others were so PROFUSIVE with the noise. She babbles 80% of her waking minutes. A few words here and there, but mostly the zoological noises.

Of course, her sister had a 30 word vocabulary by 6 months and her brother was Silent Bob till he turned 2, so I expected pretty much anything to be possible with baby Banana.

Hello Everyone!

It's good to be back online. I can't believe the weather some of you are having! It's supposed to snow again next week here. Just when it had all melted.... Oh well.

I had a question for all of you: Do any of you work out at Curves for Women? If so, what do you think?

Hang in there, all of you with sick babes!

Miles is doing really well, he is talking more and more, and some of those funny animal noises are making an appearance lately. We are pretty much down to 1 waking/night. He goes to sleep at around 9, in his crib in his room, (cause DH talks a lot before going to sleep, and wakes him!) And then wakes around 2. I feed him in my bed, and either put him in the co-sleeper, or fall asleep feeding him, and he's asleep 'till around 7 or 8. I'm loving this! He still is not too interested in rolling over, but will sit for as long as you have him on the ground. He loves to be looking around all the time. We got his pics taken on Sat. by a really good photographer, who has a reputation for getting babies to smile. Well, Miles just looked at the camera and hammed it up without him doing anything at all! He said it was the easiest time he'd ever had.

:LOL

Stacey, I'd fly. I missed my grandmas burial (went to the funeral) for a new job and have regretted it ever since...

Raney, too, is a prolific noise maker - way more than her sister was. She has a temper, too - wonder where she got that from . I took away some innapropriate item (can't remember what) from her the other day and she literally started jumping up and down in her exersaucer, pounding her fists, screaming - the whole bit! Her sister is a total handful and never did that as an infant...we're scared! :LOL

Almamiel-Im so glad to hear that Makynzi isnt the only one who has a temper and throws fits. I thought I was going crazy until DH saw it last night too. She isnt even 6 months old yet! Guess that is what I get for calling her an easy baby when she was a newborn! She is proving to be more demanding than I ever thought possible. Madyson fit high-needs definitions but Makynzi seems over the top! Maybe it is just because I have 2 now that she seems so much more demanding. Madyson is hard headed enough, now im going to have 2 of them too!

Count me in! Bryn won't let me even put him down unless his bro. is there to play. He gets super fussy if I am not paying attention to him at all times. He is also not eating hardly at all. He is so into whatever is going on he will pull off as soon as he is latched, or get really mad as soon as I get him in position. I have to take him into my room and turn off the lights and close the door to get him to eat, and he still goofs around and pulls off. At this point he only seriously eats when he is about to nap or go to bed. I hope he starts eating more because I could really stand to lose the last 10 pounds!

Hello again September mamas!

It has been a long time since I popped in. I was just starting to get into the groove of 5 kiddos when they all caught whooping cough in the beginning of January. It was a loooooooong 7 weeks before we were starting to get back to normal. We are now enjoying lovely 70's weather. We are back on the bike trails (the ones left after our huge floods in Jan/Feb).

Naomi is a cute little chub weighing in at 15 lbs. I will try to get some pics up in a few days. She isn't rolling over or pushing up with her hands either. She has "compression" issues due to very low amniotic fluid and her frank breech position prenataly. Her right foot has "positional club foot" but is doing very well. We have been very consistent with exercises to avoid a brace or cast. We haven't started solids yet either, I haven't started solids until a year with any of my kids.

It is so neat to see this group is so chatty! Happy belated birthdays! Happy Healthy Spring to all of you!!

Have a great day!
Sarah

Leigh you are hilarious! You had me laughing out loud. Tristan goes between pteradactyl, opera diva warming up for the show (aaaaAAAAAAAaaaaaaAAAAHH!!!), and very concentrated chatter in his own language which, as I said yesterday, sounds like Cajun French.

Sarah, 5 children with whooping cough!!! Yikes! Well, at least now they have lifelong immunity... glad to see you back

Off to make dinner.

Sorry. It even says that in your siggy.
Sorry about your grandmother. Big hugs!

I am in the middle of sewing an ABC. I have lots of help. I don't think I would be able to do it without the help of my friends. My friend has a serger and that also makes it alot easier too.
