That orange oil spray crap

Anyone know whats in it or how bad it is for you?? I got some of the "fantastic" brand orange spray and it works really well but I dont want to continue using it if it is bad....

I don't know what's in Fantastic brand, but considering their horrible original recipe spray cleaner, I wouldn't trust them!

I like Orange Plus and Orange Clean, both of which are pretty widely available in supermarkets, Home Depot, Lecter's Housewares, Bed Bath & Beyond, etc. Look for something that says "all natural" on the label. Better yet if it actually lists its ingredients so you don't have to wonder!!!

You have to be careful when you are using orange oil products. They are natural, but the fumes are toxic in large enough doses - make sure you are using it in a ventilated area or dilute it as much as possible.

i occasionally like an orange spray,
I buy Sun and Earth.
It is strong.
I like parsley cleaner- Earth friendly products.

I will try and buy the organic variety next time I am at Whole Foods. We always leave our windows open so I should have at least some ventilation...at least until winter comes...

Good point about the fumes. Orange cleaners aren't as risky as many conventional cleaners (like oven cleaner I had a terrible experience w/that once and now clean my oven w/Orange Plus and copper wool) but they're not completely safe to wallow in! When using orange cleaner at full strength in an enclosed space, like inside the oven, be sure to come up for fresh air every so often.

Also, you don't want to get any citrus-based cleaner in your eyes and you must rinse it thoroughly off of cooking surfaces because, whether dangerous or not (I don't know), the odor and flavor of burnt orange peel is just not very pleasant.
