question about my son's uncirc'd penis

Hey all. Payton is not circ'd which I wouldn't change for a thing. But I have a question. His little peepee has been getting red at the tip a lot. I wipe him at every changing, we CD, no change in his diet. Is he getting an infection? Should I be pulling the foreskin back to clean it? Anyone know?

It's probably something as simple as diaper rash.

Irritation from the diaper wipes? Soap buildup in your cloth diapers?
Don't retract!!! That will cause damage and potentially scarring!!

I think the foreskin gets chapped from rubbing against material all the time. This happened to both of my boys, too. I just used some sort of topical protective barrier and that helped a lot.

Read the two stickys at the top of the main page of this forum "Warning to Parents of Intact Sons" and "Red, Swollen or Inflamed Foreskin?" They should answer most of your questions. Most likely, everything is normal.
