What's your favorite shampoo? Or do you no-poo?

I'm a total sucker for everything new that comes out. I'm always using at least 5 different shampoos on a rotating basis. I've got everything from 99cents to $20.00 a bottle stuff. I'd love to hear about what works for you. Or if you know anything about no shampoo, I'd love to hear about it. Why is it a good idea, does your hair have to go through a yucky period when you stop using it? Very curious...

I just tried someting new from Avalon organics (I'll have to look at the bottle when I get home). It smells wonderful, makes my hair look great, and it also seems to be slowning down this hair loss thing I've been dealing with since ds was born.

This might sound weird but I like to use Head and Shoulders and I've never had a problem with dandruff. It makes my hair so clean and soft...I've been using it before the commercials came out that said it works so great even if you don't have dandruff. I get it at Costco in the big bottle. I don't even need conditioner.

I've been using John Frieda's "Brilliant Brunette" and really like it. It conditions very well and my hair looks really nice.

I admit I'm a shampoo addict too. However, I usuallly use 1/2, and then give the rest to my mother. I'm using Avalon Organics Lavender right now. Yum!

No 'poo. Everyone once in a great while I get the urge to use some shampoo and if I do it's head and shoulders because that is what is in the house for dh. My fav. no 'poo is a bit of baking soda to wash and then a bit of honey mixed with some apple cider vinegar as conditioner.

Hmmm, what does that do for your hair? Does it make it fluffy ? What is the benefit of not using shampoo, other than not drying your scalp?

BS cleans the hair and scalp with out over stripping your hair.. Honey is a humectant so it moisturizes while you clean.. BS lifts the folicles on the hair... THe ACV places them all back down.. And makes your hair soft..

I also have very dry ends (from bleaching and coloring them pink all the time) so when I get out I put a bit of Coconut oil on my hands and oil the ends of my hair..

Honestly I have really straight fine hair.. I've had to use conditioner my WHOLE LIFE.. Now I don't.. It rocks..

I do still like a nice poo sometimes..

I like Citreshine.. It smells like oranges..
And Dove..

Warm Squishy Feelings.

YES IT DOES!!! yummy!!!

I just bought Giovanni's 50:50 shampoo and Smooth as Silk conditioner. It is also very good smelling and my hair is looking mighty fine (if I do say so myself).

I use Nature's Gate Jojaba shampoo and conditioner. It's the only thing I CAN use because of allergies. It has some bad stuff in it...Sodium Laural Sulfate for one...but it doesn't make my lungs act up, so...

I'm afraid to try no-poo...maybe when I cut my hair shorter I will try it.

I haven't used shampoo in over a month.

I alternate between using baking soda on my hair, not washing it at all, and using ivory soap.

I think it comes out better with the BS than with the soap..I just need to experiment with how often I need to wash it. My plan is to wash it whenever it gets grungy and hopefully be able to wash it less often over time.

I use Aveda Shampure...I like it...smells good and lathers real well. I only wash my hair 1-2X a week. So a bottle lasts a long time.

My hair does great with baking soda wash/ACVinegar rinse. But I usually use Paul Mitchell's Awapuhi or Shampoo One. I've not found a shampoo better suited to my hair. And the twice a month baking soda/ACV treatment keeps my scalp feeling nice and clean and my hair shiny.
Actually, my hair looks about the same after Paul Mitchell as it does after baking soda/ACV, but I like the way Paul MItchell smells better.
