I hope this is the right place to put this. I need help with my dry face!! I never had this problem before, always had dry skin until this last year. I have very dry spots on my cheek by my nose, on my forhead right above my noise, and under my eyes. I slather lotion on it alllllllllll the time and it is dry in minutes. I heard some one mention olive oil, is that okay on the face and under eye area? What do you recommend?

I would love to go without make up but I have dark circles under my eyes and always have no matter how much sleep I have. What can I do about it?

thank you !!

I have dark circles too, have ever since my first child was born. I don't know of anything that really helps them.

I have some persistent dry patches on my face too, across the bridge of my nose, above my nose, and sometimes on my cheeks. I am able to use whipped shea butter on my face and it helps a lot. I will use lotion with jojoba sometimes too, before bed. The other thing that I like is to use a moisturizing facial scrub on those areas to take off the dead skin. That really helps to get rid of the flaky areas. I think my dryness is mostly due to wearing makeup, so I have pretty much quit wearing it except for special occasions. It's just not worth it and so far no one has run away from the sight of me... yet!! :LOL

I recently changed lotions - I wanted something a little thicker/heavier for winter/pregnancy (both of which dry out my skin), and I wanted it to have an SPF in it. After I started using the new lotion, my skin got MORE dry, painfully so, and flaky. I think I'm sensitive to the sunscreen. Is there any possibility that you're sensitive to something in your moisturizer?

that is a good thought process. The only thing is that I have tried several different creams...I don't know? I'll have to take a longer break from it and see. thanks!

Velcromom, had to laugh at your joke! I asked my dh what he would think if I stopped wearing make up, he said I look fine (what is he supposed to say LOL!). I'll see if that helps too. I try to scrub once a week for the dry skin too, not that I've noticed it helping, but it might be worse if I didn't .

I used Olive Oil last night for the first time and I am in love! It works great and my face has never felt better!!

I really love olive oil! I apply it to my skin while it is still a bit damp, and it really leaves my skin radiant and soft. Shea butter (especially whipped) is wonderful too!!
