DS is 3. He has been waking up w sticky eyes the last couple of mornings, and I read that breastmilk is good for that, so I tried to express some, and couldn't. It had been several hours since he had last nursed. I have tried several times in the last 24 hours and nothing. When he nursed, I asked him if there was milk, and he said "I'm trying to get some."
I haven't felt let down for a LONG LONG time (maybe 2 years?) but just thought that feeling passed...is it possible that I am no longer lactating and he has been sucking on a dry breast? Or is it just harder to express? I haven't tried doing so in such a long time, but it used to flow easily if I did so.
This is kindof freaking me out!
