Hi all. Shannon...how's Christine doing? I'm really really tired. All the sleepless nights are really starting to catch up to me. I'm going to try and take a nap in a few...if Scott goes back to sleep. They're shooting off artillery today and for some reason it's super loud. Like shake the window loud. Everytime I get Scott back to sleep another round goes off and he startles awake. :

Really quick,
Our little boy was born on March 5th at home after a very quick labor (1hr and 20 minutes) with minor shoulder dystocia. He was 10lbs 8oz and 23 inches long.

CONGRATULAIONS!!! I was wondering about you. Figured you were babymooning. What is the baby's name?

ABout the goopy eye. My MW says to squirt the eye with contact solution. It worked for us. I also did BM.

OUr packers come on weds so I guess I will not be on here as much. Just wanted to let you know in case you all missed me. We will be moving from Hawaii to Florida-yay! we will be lots closer to all our family.

Congratulations Woolfairy! Hope you're doing well.

We are well. Andrew is mellow and sleeps a lot (except from 3-6 a.m. He seems to like to marathon nurse then...) He's been constipated and gassy lately, but even so, isn't too fussy. I don't know what's different, but he went from pooing 2-3x day to not at all. My ped. suggested using a rectal thermometer to "stimulate" him which didn't work. If he doesn't go soon, it'll be back to the peds for more "advice". Overall, we're adjusting well. Ds1 is thrilled to have a brother and is very sweet with the baby. My dh just found out that he can use sick time for paternity leave, so he's taking almost three weeks off to spend time at home. He has to work about four days out of the three weeks. Right now, he and ds are snowboarding and will be back tomorrow night. Wonderful! I am most happy because this allows one of us to give ds1 a lot of attention and the other of us to be with baby. I'm feeling very blessed.

As for co-sleeping, we have an Arm's Reach, which I like. Baby mostly sleeps on me for now though. He hasn't quite transitioned to sleeping well while not being snuggled. I figure he's got time to get that. Dh and ds1 sleep in the bunk beds in ds's room. Dh has baby from 9-midnight and usually after the marathon nurse at 3 a.m. so we both are able to get blocks of several hours unbroken sleep. Someday, dh and I will share a bed again! For now, we're both happy to have solid sleep!

Hope you're all well. I am so glad to hear the Heve and baby are doing so much better. I'm thinking of all of you and hoping for peaceful transitions into mommyhood for us all! Be well. susan

Evening all, doing alright here, have Molly back on the formula that made her constipated (it was the only one she had no projectile vomitting on) and last night she had the diarrhea from hell--I'm talking we ended up opening windows in spite of -11 temps because the smell was just so incredibly bad! Today she hasn't pooped at all, I'm so frustrated with formula I'm having dreams of when she's finally on solids

Heve and baby boy are home but I haven't talked to her yet, as I said I'll let her divulge the lil guys name but it's very fitting. I'm sure she'll be on to update everyone soon.

I went back on my ADD meds today and wow--I have ambition again!! I walked on the treadmill for 1/2 hour (you know you're horribly out of shape when 30 min on the treadmill has you sweating like a pig) did a load of diapers and 3 loads of laundry, made dinner, made formula and went grocery shopping, I feel so much more like myself it's not even funny.

I'm thinking that AF will be back fairly soon, I'm eating every carb that gets in my way these days adn that usually happens a few days before.

Lesley, any solutions yet??

Congratulations, Elle!!!

Gavin had his 1 mos. well-visit today and WOWSAS, he's growing! He was 6 lbs. 14 ozs. at birth and today he weighed in at 10lbs. 11 ozs.! He's also 23 3/4 inches long! I am just amazed because it took my first son 3 mos. to reach this weight and he started out a lb. heavier at birth!

Shannon, sorry to hear about the formula woes. That really stinks (no pun intended ). I'm glad you are feeling better on your meds, too. Sounds like a very productive day!

Susan- we use our Arms Reach co-sleeper as a diaper station. Gavin sleeps cuddled up against me, but I have diapers, wipes, burp cloths within...."arms reach"! :LOL

earthmama- Have a safe move! We'll miss you! I can' believe you are moving AWAY from Hawaii...and you're happy about it! (just teasing) I'm glad you'll be close with family again. Talk to you when you are all settled-in!

My 2 year is still hanging on to the stomach flu that we had this weekend. Poor punkin.

Hope everyone else is doing well. It has been quiet around here. These babies keep us busy!

Someone please start a new thread...I'd do it myself but I'm not on-line very often...small update Zander has been sick for the past week...some sort of stomach bug and Reflux...so I'm giving him infant Zantac he has only barfed once today so that is a vast improvement. He is still gaining weight...he is up to 10lbs 12oz and I posted 2 new pictures of him.

Hi everyone, Just have a second. Glad to here that Christine and baby boy are home. Looking forward to knowing his name.!

We took Miah back to the specialist yesterday. He took the bandage off. Her arm is not completly healed, but has a good start. He said as long as we are very careful we can leave her unwrapped. When he cut the bandage off it was soooo gross. Keep in mind she's had it on since she was 12 hours old and had never had a bath in two weeks. Under her armpit where she was skin on skin her skin almost rotted. It is so sad. It's like a big bed sore or something. It is soooo sad. I gave her a bath last night and it stung so bad but I had to get it cleaned up. It was gross. So I am trying to get that healed up. My mw gave me some mineral water for my perineum that has amazing healing properties so that is what I am using under her arm right now. Her broken bone doesn't seem to hurt unless you move her arm too much or put too much pressure on the break. I think the sore is the part that is bothering her now. Anyway, hopefully in a week or two she will be ALL healed up and we can move past this.
