improvement with Wellbutrin?

My doctor recently put me on Wellbutrin for severe postpartum depression. I was just wondering if anyone has had success with it and if so, how long did it take to start feeling better?

Thanks

I found that wellbutrin

caused me to become very agitated but it did wonders for the depression. I think I noticed a difference in only 5-7 days. Each person is different and keep in touch with your dr. often time they prescribe low dose then up it each week or 2 till it works best.

If you find yourself being agitated, irritated easily or anxious your should also discuss this with your dr.

Take care and I hope you start to feel better.

JennP

PS due to the anxiety I switched to Zoloft.

It seemed to work well for me (12 yrs ago) but also masked the results of a pregnancy test (I WAS pregnant, but didn't know since the test was negative even though it was late enough that it should have been positive) so I didn't know I was pregnant 'til I miscarried a month later. That freaked me out (I found that effect in the PDR) so I quit taking it at the time. I had two other miscarriages later (before and after having my first child) so I doubt that the Wellbutrin also CAUSED the miscarriage, but I don't really know. Just something to look into/ be aware of.

I have had great success with Wellbutrin. The ssri's gave me severe migraine headaches. The wellbutrin treats my depression beautifully, gives me a mild energy boost, and does not give me headaches

Same here. For me, it was like taking nothing. However, it worked very well for a good friend of mine who, like me, experienced a lot of generalized anxiety.

Wellbutrin worked great for me. Made me really angry at first, but then I got over that. It worked in maybe 2 weeks time. Good luck!
