Ring Sling Hellllllp!!!

Thread Starter
I am sewing my first ring sling and am so confused. I am folowing the sleepingbaby.net (http://www.sleepingbaby.net/jan/inde...aby/sling.html) directions and have gotten to the point where I need to sew my pleats. Question is: My sewed together piece of fabric is 30 inches by 90 inches. If I do pleats in it to get it about 7 inches wide (over the shoulder) do I need to fold the big piece (the 30x90 piece) in half, or do I somehow try to cram the whole thing into 7 inches worth of pleats??
The directions do not say to fold it in half to double the strength/thickness of it, but I do not know how else it would work?
HELP, pleeeasee!!!!!!

you don't fold it in half. you'll overlap each pleat by an inch. did you see this?
