Does anyone know? I've heard conflicting information!

TIA,

A good friend of mine had an IUD and used a Keeper. What she told me is that the Keeper/Diva is fine because it sits fairly low in the vagina. The Instead cup (the disposable cup) cannot be used with an IUD because it sits closer to the cervix and you could end up pulling the IUD strings when you remove it.

I too have heard about the keeper being a no-no with the IUD, so I asked my gyn, and he told me that it was really hard to remove an IUD, and that succion alone could not get it out, so it wasn't a concern.

edited to add that I have used my keeper a few times with my IUD, with no problems, but since it is a MIRENA (hormonal), I haven't had periods in over a year, so I haven't had the chance to use it much...

Thanks for your responses! I'll be giving my keeper a try again. I had a lot of problems w/ leakage before, but I'm hoping it will be different this time.
