WAHM fabric???

Any idea where the WAHMs get all their cute fabric? Is there an online "Really Cute Fabric Perfect for Diapers" store, or do they just have better choices IRL than I have?

I look everywhere. If there's a quilt or fabric store in a 30 mile radius, I've been there! Some of my favorite stuff comes from them. There's great stuff online and in coops too.

Quilt stores are an awesome source for cute woven prints, but your wallet will know about it. Luckily diapers don't need a lot. There is a FMBG coop group on yahoo, plus the sewing supply coop is good for fabrics and elastic. I have also seen wahms buying preorders on osds. Sewzanne's sells the ever-diaper-popular PRR prints. And there is always ebay. Joann's just got in a bunch of knit prints.

Someone, I can't remember who, also sells diaper cuts for good prices. Janine's PULs if that is what you want, and there are several diaper wahms who also sell fabric. I've seen fabric for sale at Valor Kids, FMBG, and I think Darling Diapers.

Do you have a Joann's or Hancocks close by? And, if you're on their mailing list you will also receive coupons in the mail. (I think they have a website online as well, but not positive-Maybe check there?) That is where I find almost all my fabric! They normally have a huge selection of prints. Plus, I've even found Walmart to have cute diaper flannel prints on occasion-but, it's rare. Although, when they do-You can find it fairly cheap as well! I've also shopped at local quilt fabric stores and agree that your pocket book will feel it if you purchase there! (Unless you hit a sale! )

I would avoid print flannels from Joann's and Walmart. IME they start out super-cute, but fall apart and ball up pretty quickly. THe quilters flannels are expensive but won't look like crap after 3 washes. (And you KNOW diapers get washed a lot.)

If you have lots of patience, yahoo coops are one of the best/least expensive ways. Just do a search for whatever fabrics your interested in on yahoo groups. One other store not mentioned that has lots to choose from is www.zoodads.com and www.sewbaby.com
