Skin care experts..can you help?

I am 40 but have relatively wrinkle free skin. I have a very oily T-zone and break out during "Aunt Flo's visit" usually only in my chin area. I love facial scrubs and anything with a "tingly" feeling. I've been told that I am tearing up my skin by using 'scrubs' like apricot, etc.

Does anyone have a homemade recipe for a gentle, but good cleaning scrub/wash for my type of skin?

Thanks!!

I have added sugar to my normal cleanser. It works GREAT. not sure how skin friendly it is but i read it in a magazine years ago.
You have to use it immediately cuz it dissolves and dont store it cuz it gets icky.
you can also use salt, but in my case it dried me out.

I love sugar scrubs! Great idea! A friend of mine suggested I use baking soda and some Tea Tree Oil and a drop of lavender or another essential oil. I may try this and add some sugar (or salt) to it as well and see how that works.

I'm not worried about drying out, actually - because my skin is so oily. I thought it dries up as you age guess not in my case!

Believe it or not....I use equal parts Dr Bronners lavender soap (you can use any scent;peppermint will tingle) and olive oil. I swear it works!!!

If you search Oil Cleaning Method, you will find info on why.

Hope that helps!

Baking soda works well as an exfoliator. Sugar scrubs are great, especially combined with oil. Burt's Bee's baby oil with sugar works for me, but I can't do it often.
