And I'm soooo excited! I've been wanting one every since I started cd'ing to make dipes, trim pf's and so on...but couldn't find what I wanted (bernina) in my price range.

I've been doing searches on ebay for months and finally it paid off!!! I got a Bernina Bernette Funlock 006 for $165!!! The least I've seen these for is around $300 so I'm beyond thrilled!!! It was even that at the BIN price so I snatched it up before anyone else would!!

I've been serging up a storm every since it came on Mon. and I'm soo in w/ it!! I don't think it had been used at all! It also came w/ a multi-purpose foot and a gathering foot!

Anyway..just wanted to share my excitement!

Congrats on your new serger! I know what you mean about being in ! Serging is just so much fun -- when I got mine, I started looking for random things to serge just because I was so in love with the speed and sound it made.

Have fun!

Congratulations!

I've been wanting a serger for some time now, but have been worried about the learning curve.

I've been sewing for over 30 years, but for some reason a serger seems intimidating - maybe it's all the different thread or something.

I think I'll add it to my wish list, though.

If you've been sewing for a long time then you should have *no* problem serging! The last time I did any sewing was my freshman year in HS...so quite a few yrs. ago and I picked this up immediately! Granted I only know the basics, but am looking forward to doing more!

Jesse... I am so absolutely and completely jealous I have a basic sewing machine right now and really, I can't complain because it is serving me well... but, oh how I long for a serger!

Glad you picked it up so fast.. you'll have to share some of your creations with me
