Sunscreen?

Thread Starter
I've stopped using soap or cleansers on my face since I started getting ezcema, and it's helped a lot. But now that it's getting sunnier, and I've started riding a bike again, I need a sunscreen without too much crap in it. Any recommendations? Sunscreen has always irritated my skin, but I'm afraid it will bring the ezcema back...

I don't have an answer, but I am bumping this because I have the same question for different reasons. It seems like so many of us work so hard to get chemicals out of our lives and then in the summer we smear them on our skin (because we've burned holes in the ozone layer with other chemicals and have to protect ourselves) and I am starting to feel a little defeated. Any suggestions?

Both coconut oil and St John's wort oil have sun protective qualities, but you have to use them frequently.. no one is really sure of the SPF.

I also have a homemade sunscreen recipe around here somewhere... ok, i think the site i had it on went down. :P

I was just at this site yesterday...

She makes chemical-free sunscreens.

it says one of the ingredients in the Aubrey sunscreen is Titanium dioxide--what is that?

I'm interested in this discussion as well--what do you use for your children?
