I went to the walk-in clinic today because I suspected I had another case of thrush (I did). Anyway, I didn't have DS with me. I explained to the doctor that I was still nursing, and that I'd had a previous bout with thrush etc, and she asked how DS was (he's fine, he was at his own doctor yesterday, no thrush for him), how often he nursed etc. Anyway, I explained that he was almost two and only nursed a few times a day, and she said to me "you're a good mother, you know, for still breastfeeding him"! I was totally thrilled. Walk-in clinics are so hit and miss when it comes to the doctor that sees you, and I was so totally thrilled to hear this today! DS's own doctor knows I still nurse, and she normally says "as long as you're okay with it". She never says anything negative, but I don't get the feeling that she's terribly in favour of EBF either. But the doctor today told me I was a good mother for EBF! It made my day, my week, probably my month and maybe even my year!

How cool is that!?? I mean, I'm sure you know you're a good mother, but to hear it from a doctor! Wow!
