Dress-up dresses pattern?

I don't sew, but my mom is an awesome seamstress. I would love for her to make up some princess, fairy-type, dress up dresses for the girls (their latest obsession). Where can I find a pattern for these? The girls are small- 4.5 and 2. Any help would be great!

When my daughter was small (okay, she is taller then me now!), Vogue 7924 was my favorite dress pattern for her. I could make it plain or dressy depending on what it was going to be used for. It is an easy pattern.

I'd try costume patterns. The big companies (Butterick, McCalls, Simplicity, Vogue) all have fairy and princess costume patterns.

You can either buy them at your local fabric store, online through the pattern company, online through another company, or give eBay a try.

When I improve my sewing abilities I want to make my dd a fairie costume. I've fallen in love with McCalls 3365.
If you go to sewingpatterns.com and type in 3365 under the search, you can see it.

Laura:

I bought that pattern for DD the last time JoAnn's had a 99 cent sale! It's way too big for her, but as soon as she fits we're going to sew it.
