vegan Halloween treats?

Hi all,

Anyone have some healthy (but cheap!) ideas for vegan Halloween treats? I hate to give away food that my little one can't have, so that rules out all the corn syrups, dyes, artificial flavors, etc. Found some all-natural fruit leather that tastes great, but its EXPENSIVE!! Thanks:-)

Is this for trick or treating? Does it have to be candy? This year I am thinking of giving non food items. In the past, my daughter has recieved:
coins
pencils
markers
coupons for a local grocery
erasers

DD seemed to appreciate these things. They are her favorite houses from year to year.

I give out pretzels sometimes. They sell big bags of individual packages at the grocery stores for Halloween. Sometimes health food stores have lollipops without too much junk and they are not too expensive. Seems like some natural food manufacturer should cash in on this need!

How about nuts or little raisin boxes?

Also, check out the vegan candy list here:

I know it's not totally healthy stuff, but maybe there's something on there you can give out. At the least, you can see which candies are vegan when your little brings home the stash.

Thanks for your suggestions! I especially like the non-food ideas! And the suggestion of raisins!!! Ds and I love raisins, but dh argues that they aren't a "treat":-o
