Mallory had her 5'day assessments done today. I can't believe I've had her for 5 whole days now!!!
Anyway, the reason for my excitement: she hasn't lost an ounce!!! In fact, in her 5 day life exclusively on breastmilk (Gosh, I feel as though her lips are glued to my boobs) she has GAINED 2oz up from her birthweight! So, even though she weighed a little more than 1/2lb less than her brother at birth, she now weighs more than he did at 1 week. LOL!
It's just so nice to have the reasurance that we're doing everything right...especially after the horrible experience it was trying to get Nolan to nurse. It's nice to have the proof that it's going well.
