After reading "avoid the draft" (Mothering Feb 2005,by Helen James) I started searching on-line and was amazed to learn the "no child left behind act" requires public schools provide the military with names, addresses and phone numbers of our children. I was further surprised as my daughter watched "saddle club sunday" on the discovery channel and EVERY commerical was for miliary recruitment. Talk to your children about this because others are! Thanks for the information, but I have to mention....

I CAN"T *STAND* IT!!! when people uses dashes/hyphens to start a post so that you can't read the start of it without clicking and opening!!!

But what's the point, except to lure people in who might not otherwise read it? Isn't it a wee arrogant to think that you know what's important enough for us to read?
