I JUST GOT A SERGER!!!!Now I have a few questions

Hi, I just bought a serger from eBay. Now I am looking at thread. Wow it is expensive at the fabric store, so I am looking online. What are your recomendations for sewing diapers? Should I just stick with white to start, although I want the seams to be rainbow colors. What do you think? I am sure I will be back here alot now that I have a serger...finally.

White, black, and gray are what I use most.
If I were you I'd use one of those three for the needle threads and only buy fancy colors/textures for the loopers.

I love the idea of the needle threads being white/black/grey and just getting fun colors for the loopers! Thanks...I just got a new serger, too, and that's a great idea!

I use white and ivory mostly and use my Bob 'N Serge for fancy colors. I also have a spool winder thingy that you can use to make smaller spools of colors, but I don't use it much.

OH, and don't forget that, while serger thread is pricey, it lasts a looooong time! I've got some spools of white that are just finishing up after 3 years and I do lots of sewing.
