ick. went to a baby shower yesterday. I was the only one with a nursing baby present, and certainly the only one who was nursing an "older baby" (at ten months old!!

anyway, the soon to be grandma was going on and on about how wonderful bf'ding was..we started talking more and she says "Well, I breastfed dd1 until she was 4 months. Then she got four teeth, and so I had to stop and just give her food." Wha?? she then says "are you planning to nurse to a year?" and i said "at least"...the look on her face was priceless. When are people going to get it?!
