Breastfeeding Advocacy Pamphlet

I'm thinking of making and printing up on my computer a little pamphlet on the benefits of breastfeeding. I want something to whip out and distribute when I get comments like, "You're still nursing her?!" (in regards to my almost-two-year old) or "You know, breastfeeding after 6 months is only for the mother's benefit" or things like that. This pamphlet would not be to replace a good comversation about the subject, but to enhance it.

My pamphlet would quote organizations like the AAP, the WHO, LLL and would have strong, simple info on nursing babies and toddlers, focusing on the benefits of nursing in general (in regards to lower incidence of diseases and such) and benefits of nursing an "older" child/toddler.

Is this a good or bad idea? Any suggestions? Any things I should be careful of? Does something like this already exist?

i've heard of moms printing like business cards that have the AAP and WHO recommendations, the laws about NIP in that state, or the benefits of BFing., but i've never really seen one.

LLL has several pamphlets in their catalog that would fit what you are looking for: http://www.lalecheleague.org/catalog.html

If you decide to design your own instead, a great place to look for some facts with references is promom.orgs 101 Reasons to Breastfeed.

Quotes from the AAP position paper, the AAFP position paper, the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine, WHO, etc would be good as well.
