Dec mamas, can't wait for you all to join me!

I guess i am the first to open up the Dec ddc. My sig basically tells my story but I got a test today although it was pretty faint, i will be testing tommorrow morning to get a darker line. My due date is Dec 4th. My sig tells my basic story and we've been TTC for 3 months. It took a while for my hormons to normalize after going off the pill. My children will be 26 months apart which is perfect, and I have a distict feeling already that it's a girl. Can't wait for more mamas to join me, hopefully I will get some buddies from the One Thread on the TTC board. My earliest symptom was very noticable constipation.

hey, I'm due Thanksgiving, but let me be the first here to congratulate you! You can hang with us for a while if you want to--some of us will undoubtedly deliver in December!

I just wanted to say congrats =)
December sounds like a fun month to have a baby.
I'm due in October.
Congratulations!
Mind if I wait out here with ya for a few days?
IF I am pregnant, my due date would be around the 11th. But I'm just 7dpo right now. I'm suspicious though, the past few days I've had indigestion or heartburn, which is usually very rare. And I've already been peeing like crazy today. So, I guess we'll just see if they are phantom symptoms or not. But I know that I actually did 'o' this cycle and timed the bd right, now I'm just waiting!
I'll be 11 dpo on Easter. Think I should test? It might be too early though.
I would also like to congratulate you on your pregnancy. I hope that some more Mommas join you soon. I hope that you have a very uneventful 40ish wks.
: I'm SCARED!!! : I might be joining you. Oh golly, golly! I got two faint lines this morning. OMG. I can't believe I'm typing that. OMG. Oh my heck! My baby is still a baby and we were so perfect on our condom use. Maybe it will go away in the monring. Maybe I won't hit post and you'll never know I might join you.

Anyway, congrats to our definite preggo and our dpo 7 pregnant until proven otherwise mama.
Ok... I'm settling into this idea a bit better. I am pregnant. There I typed it. I am. No denying it. I'm gonna have another baby and it will be such a blessing and so wonderful!

Now... we're trying to figure out how to pay for homebirths in back to back years! So worth the money I know... but to think I coudl birth for free covered by insurance. That sounds so grand while we're wondering what car will hold three car seats in the backseat!

Thanks everyone for all the congrats and welcomes!!! It's nice to see a few more mamas popping in here.

Tweetybirds2 I think 7dpo is too early to test, chances are you may not have even implanted yet. I got the absolute faintest line in the world on the First Response and Answer brands early result test, and it was extremly faint, hard to even call a positive. I really enjoyed all the obsessing about weither or not I was preganant on the ONE THREAD on MDC'c TTC board, it was so much fun a so supportive, I think you'd like it. I don't mind at all if you hang out here though, it's so much fun to think about the what if's. Let us know how it all goes.

Spark so glad you could join me!! Wow what a suprise for you! How old is your little baby now? I know what you mean about the money for the homebirth. It's so stressing me out already. We aren't planning a homebith, my hubbyis not okay with it. With our son it was a full intervention hospital bith b/c I didn't know or want any better and this time around I plann a natural birth with a midwife in a hosptial that has tubs. We have to save up for the hospital fees once we have the little one and for a doula, bradley classes, hypbirth tapes, etc. It ends up being over $1600 so even though it's not as much as a homebirth would be it's still extremely hard to swallow with a car that needs a new tranny. Ugghh. You are so right it is very much worth the $.

I wasn't able to breastfeed our son for very long, only 4 months, it was my fault really, but i can't even tell you how much i am looking forward to breastfeeding again! It has been this incredible dream of mine for so long I am extatic about it! We didn't start AP with DS till he was 6months so I am really looking forward to starting out that way with this one.

Spark what kinds of symptoms are you having? How are you feeling? i am so constipated! I also am have some cramps, but i am very aware of having a life there this time where as that didn't happen for along time with my son.

I'm here now too!

I just tested positive today!!
My due date will be 12/3, I think. My own bday is 12/7 and i went pretty late with DS, so there's a chance for a Bday baby. LOL

I'm just praying that this little bean sticks!
Anyway, it's great to join you!

Oh, wanted to add that I'm stilling bfing my DS who JUST TURNED 2 YESTERDAY!

I look forward to going through this with you all!

My symptoms - tired, peeing a lot, mild abdominal discomfort/cramping.
Congrats, all you December moms-to-be!!!!

Tweety, I got a postive at 11 DPO with Dollar Tree tests - they really are a dollar. If you look at peeonastick.com, they rate well, as far as how sensitive they are.
Oooh, they're all rollin in now! Yay! Well, ok there are 3 of us, right? Thx for the cgts other mamas!

I'm still really early. 11 DPO or so. I used the strip tests cheap off the internet & then First Response ER and then finanly convinced myself with the Digital test. Pretty clear when it just says PREGANT. I think DH and I are getting used to the idea.

I need to buy some cute newborn diaper. I'll be all set then! :LOL

Michele Wishing sticky vibes to you! My son was 18 mos and nursing when I got pregnant with my DD. Then, he weaned at 3. Now, my DD just had her first birthday last week (so she's not tiny... but tiny enough for me!) and she's nursing. I researched nursing through pregnancy and tandem nursing SO much during my last pregnancy. It's deja vu all over again!

Ashley, I always like to remember, when we know better we do better. You did the best you knew during your son's pregnancy and birth. Things will be different this time. You sound like you've really educated yourself a lot! Sorry about the constipation. Have you considered your water consumption as a factor? Your body is making so many new fluids right now. I find myself SO THIRSTY!!! I fear if I didn't drink so much, I'd be constipated, too.

Symptoms: I think I'm too early still. With my DS I was SICK SICK SICK with morning sickness. I lost just a tad under 20 lbs the first trimester. Not fun. With my DD things were much better and while I still had M/S I only lost about 6 lbs. So... I'm saying that even if I do have symptoms... they're FINE! I'm really fearing M/S. It wasn't that long ago that I had it! We'll see what version of M/S I end up with... or maybe I'll come up with a new kind! So... right now... I haven't noticed too much. I have slight twinges every now and then. And, I get THRISTY so fast. And, my breasts have shrunk a bit. Thats' it. It's still so early though.

Yay! Pregnancy. This will be fun bringing another babe into the world! I love love love the 2nd trimester, birthing, cute maternity clothes, tiny soft newborns, oooh! Ok, I can do this!

Yeah Michelle miller!!!!!!!!! Congrats! I'm so happy for you. I'm so glad i'm not the only one from our testing party on the One Thread that got pregnant!! That's so wonderful you and Spark both are tandem nursing! Good luck in your adventures. Happy B-Day DS and DD!!! My son just celebrated his 1 and 1/2 birthday today!

Michele I'm feeling the cramps too it's weird. Anyone have a scientific explaination for the cramping that occurs? I'd love to put a meaning behind it. Mine's been a little scarry at times (kind sharper on one side) but my intution and pain level are telling me it's completely normal and I think it may be a bit of the constipation. Spark thanks for the reminder about the water. I went out and bought myself a 32 oz water container today so I plan to try and drink two of those a day. I am more thirsty more often too.

Spark I hope your morning sickness is much easier this time around. That would be hard with a 1yo! I'm interested to see how I handle pregnancy with my little one. He's been hyper clingy lately, which i sort of enjoy, but it's very remarkable how it is parallelling when I got pregnant, I wonder if he senses it somewhere, we are very intune with eachother. Tahks for your encouragment about knowing better, I've heard that several other times. I'm sure I will make mistakes with this next one too, but I am seriously so excited for the AP stuff this time, it almost brings me to tears.

I'm glad you are so excited now! It kinda makes you giddy! Well, i'm off to cleanthe bomb that exploded in my bedroom today.

Hope to see more joining us as the month goes on! We'll get some Christmas/holiday babies on our thread.

Ashley
Oh, that's SO neat that you guys know each other from the 2WW thread! With my DD, I was on the TTC boards for some time. Ironic now, isn't it!?!!? :LOL Must have been too much fertility focus that carried over to this year!

Ashley, I wonder if we'll get any Holiday Babies, too! My son was due Dec 4 2001 and so I was with a December group then, too. No one hit Christmas. But a lot came close! I hope we get a Christmas baby this year... not that any of US will go over that long, but someone soon to join our group!

You are so good to clean up that bomb that went off in your bedroom. I SHOULD be doing that right now... or well after it's morning rather.

Ok, so add insomnia to my list. This always seems to happen! Actually, I should have known I was pregnant, about 7 days past when conception likely happened, I had insomnia! In fact, I distinctly remember e-mailing a friend saying, "Weird, I swear I haven't had insomnia since I was pregnant, but here I am!" :LOL Ahhh, the signs were all there!

Bradley -- So much GREAT information from these classes. It doesn't always go well with Hypno for birth though. I think if you're most concerned about pain control and feeling comfortable during your birth, you might want to focus on Hyp. Or at the very least see if your instructor is familiar with and supportive of Hyp.

So, Ashley, I didn't comment on your birth ideas for this pregnancy! And I totally meant to! I'm a birth junkie! Ok, so I LOVE Hypno with birthing. I've done it with both my pregancies and just LOVE it! I LOVE my labors! Yes, it's hard work, but it's fun and so amazing/heart expanding/wonderful (there should be a word to describe all that). I did HypnoBirthing with my first and then I did a program similar to HypnoBabies. Both of them end up on the TP quite a bit. So, you may very well not have to pay full price.

Doula -- I would not go to the hospital without a doula! OMG! NEEDED!!! In fact, this time around we're actually checking out a Nurse-Midwife practice here in town that delivers in a hospital. I have really l torn feelings about this, but I feel like I need to konw what our other option is. I've used the same lay midwife for my past two children adn just really enjoy her care. She's great. I just am daunted by the amount. It's $2900. And worth every penny! I'm wondering if I could have a totally hands off birth in the hospital. Hmmm. Checking into that!

Ok, I've rambled enough!

Oh, yeah, I meant should I test on 11dpo, which is Easter (tomorrow!)-just for the fun of the day and symbolism. But I might chicken out now. I only have 1 dollar tree test. I've been starting to have doubts now though. Sorry I barged in and got a little to hyper about it all. I did have a little cramping after I exercised today though.
sigh...patience, right? lol

I used hypnobabies with my last birth, and it worked awesomely for me.

Spark, when did you test? You're only 11dpo? You must have gotten an early positive!!

You didn't barge in! I hope you and a bunch more come and join us!!!

The tests I used are the cheapies you get off the internet for 50 for $20. or something like that. I got a faint line. Then, I grabbed the FRER that I had laying around from before I started PPAF. I got a faint line. Then, the next morning I used the EPT Digital, because both my DH and I could see the faint lines but weren't convinced. The Digital is very CLEAR.

Hi ladies! I think I probably belong here. I'm due sometime between 11/26 and 12/3. Since this babe needs to hang out where he or she is now as long as possible, so I think I might hang out here with you.

It's great to see a familiar face here. Hi Claire!
I realize I didn't introduce myself in the first post. I'm Wendy, married to Phil and mom to Karen (2 1/2). We just moved from Ann Arbor to Columbus for my job, whose time commitments are most crucial from late September through early December. Karen's still nursing, but in the last several days I've noticed my boobs have simply disappeared. Weird! She seems to be getting a lot less milk these days, which worries me some.

Not really as a negative comment of the cnm's I saw with my daughter, but I'm thinking about using the lay midwives here. I've heard wonderful things about them, but what makes me "click" with a caregiver seems to be really different than other women.

Oh, Claire, I saw the midwives at EAA, so I can give you the "tour" of the group if you want.

Any other coffee adicts here? I tested this morning after 2 straight days of not wanting my morning coffee. Now I have a killer headache.

Hi wendy! So glad you could join us! Sorry about the killer headache, that sounds ruff. Maybe try "weaning" yourself with some green tea. It's good for you but with a lot less caff. It's so fun to have so many pregnant nursing moms here. My due date (based on date of conception) is Dec 4th, but if I went off my LMP it would be Nov 27, so we have very similar ranges. I like knowing what my actually due date not just the LMP one. I think having the latest possible due date in mind help in the end when you are so ready to have your body back, I think it will help me not be unnessisarily induced too.
Tweetybirds2 I got a SUPER faint line with Answer brand (same maker of FRER) at 10dpo, so anyday now you could test! Good luck!

Spark, yuck insomnia, I guess your body is preparing you early for less sleep. Did that happen through out your entire pregnancy last 2 times? Did the hypnobirth techneques help at all with that? I know I felt that a bit in my 3rd trimester. These days I'm just exauhsted. I'd love, love, love more insight from you on all the birth stuff. I'm so into it this time. I think we shall still proceed with our Bradley classes because both my DH and i think it would be great for him to learn more. He would really read any natural birth books, so that way he can learn more about it, ask questions, and see good examples of husband involvment. Last time around he tired to be very involved, went to every appointment with me, hospital chilbirth classes, etc., but when it came to the birth he was more there to babysit his family that was there, that's why it will just be me, him, and the doula this tiem around.

So a few questions, which Hypno birth prgram did you prefer and why? I was thinking about Hypbirth, any input? Also how did hypno birth and bradley not mess? Was it the moving around? I also found a good book called maternal fitness which is all about strengthening all the important birthing muscles and the therory is a stronger, better birth for obvious reasons, and that if you strengthen your PC muscels, a strenghtened muscle stretches better, so there will be less pain and tearing.

It's so wonderful that you have so many great options to chose from! I agree that when yu look into every option, you usually end up feeling very confident with the option you have chosen. My biggest fear is putting all that time, effort, energy, and money into a wonderful, natural birth, thenending up with a csec. I know all those things are the best way to avoid all that, but still it's a fear of mine.

Well I threw up today!! yucky morning sickness already! I think I just was awake doing things for way too long on an empty stomach. I only threw up once with DS and that was a lot later. i told my hubby if this is any indication of things to come I'm introuble. I drank 64 oz of water today, and I'm still thirsty. I notice my body is using a lot of it instead of me just peeing more, which is good. I've been taking a ton of fiber caplets and water and I'm still a little constipated, any ideas?

We are telling my inlaws about the pregnancy tommorrow. We bought a shirt for my son that says I'm a big brother. We are just going to see how long it takes them to notice. My SIL who also lives near us is 15weeks pregnant, and we just found out that my other SIL who lives several hours away is due on Nov 28th! It should be a lot of fun. They are telling my inlaws tommorrow to right after we tell them. We are not such a suprse, but my SIL none of us expected for a few years, I can't wait to see the looks on my inlaws faces, how fun! I'm also secretly excited tha ti don't have to share this baby with my inlaws near as much I did my son who is the first grandchild. I'll be like, no, go hold her baby instead,

Oh I'm so tired! Night all.
