egg dye leftovers -> yarn dye?

I am dyeing Easter Eggs tomorrow and was wondering if the egg dye would work for wool or cotton yarn. Would I need to do anything else to it to make it work?

It is the PAAS brand dye, if that makes a difference.

it will work on wool yarn, but not cotton. You may want to add a glug of white vinegar to the dye bath.
It is a similar process to dyeing with koolaid.
