What have you bought?

All we've bought is a hamper and a lightly used Maya wrap. :

Has everyone else already started their diaper stashes and so forth? We don't like buying "stuff" anyway, so this is foreign to our mindset that we are now supposed to be doing it.

We shopped for a rug again today - I want something soft over the nursery's hard floor. We will start hitting the estate sales next weekend for a chest of drawers that will double as a changing table.

I was going to buy an Arm's Reach co-sleeper, but then I read that you could not move the baby in and out of it to breastfeed while you were in the lying down position, so I changed my mind. I think I'll look into a crib I can sidecar to our bed next.

What have y'all purchased so far? Do you plan to go ahead soon, or wait?

I haven't bought anything yet.

nothing for baby but I have bought a pair of maternity pants, a maternity top and "Having a Baby, Naturally" the childbirth book by Peggy O'Mara

I need a new sling and some diapers and that's about it...oh and maybe one of those bouncy seats since I may need to put this one down occasionally to nurse Sophia...will be a bit different with a toddler around.

We haven't bought anything for the baby yet. I'm tempted to, but I am still back and forth on the issue of finding out the sex & actually having a baby shower for once. My sons are telling me this is their sister. They are just sure of it, and they have asked more than once to go to the big blue house (birthing center) and see the baby and find out if it is a boy or girl. I told them it's too early to do that yet.

I've bought maternity clothes. I will probably get the supply/demand tshirt/onsie set.

we've bought a jacket and a onesie.
my mom on the other hand, has bought every piece of clothing ranging from booties to a snowsuit. she's also bought a bouncy seat, mostly everything she'll need when we go visit their house a province away, and countless books/maternity clothes for me.

my grandma bought a quilt, i LOVE it.

we aren't really buying anything right now, just putting money into a baby fund. a friend of ours has a whole bunch of stuff to give us, everything from a crib (which we won't use probably) to...well, everything. her kids are now 5 and 3 and they thought their last would be a girl and he was a 12 lb boy. so she has a LOT of brand new stuff that will never be used (her fiance died before her second was born).

and...yeah.
we're going to buy this thing...i dunno what it's called...but it's for your bed. and you put your babe in it. my husband isn't comfortable with just sleeping with the baby, at least not at first (he's a kicker and a roller) so we'll get that.

I've bought a few sleepers. My Mom and I were at a consignment shop and they had those snuggly Carter's ones...that look like terry-cloth. LOVE those! They are TOTALLY boy prints but I got them anyway...:LOL...just in case.

Since this is #4 I don't really need much (unless it's a boy then we'll need clothes). I would like a new bouncy seat to replace my 7yo one. lol

The diaper stash will have to wait b/c I don't have $ to get started on it right now.

I need to start a diaper stash. I only did cloth for about the first 6 months with Lily, and all I have are fuzzibuns. I would like to try a few more kinds in the small size, and get all stocked up in the medium and large sizes so I have plenty of cloth! I am overwhelmed with what to choose. I do really like the pocket diaper idea, I have some plain covers where the diaper just sits next to the baby and I didn't care for that at all. So I think I will be looking for AIOs and pocket dipes.

Even if I find out what I am having, my husband doesn't want to know, so I can't buy anything specific. I can sneak in girl stuff if I find out it's a girl (since we have a lot of that!), but if it's a boy, I can't get anything new till after he is born! Drag.

We still have all the cloth diapers from my daughter. And we have gender neutral newborn clothing, since we didn't find out the sex when we were pregnant with my daughter.
We will be buying new carseats for both kiddos, but not for awhile.
So far, we've bought nothing. :|
We have an ultrasound next Thursday to tell us when this little one is really due. Adam is moving out to New Mexico to start his new job and look for a house. Once we get moving and stuff, I'm sure we'll start buying the new baby his/her own stuff.

Nothing! My sister has given us tons of stuff though, including 2 bouncy seats, a swing, a travel swing, an exersaucer, and lots of clothing. I probably won't start buying much for a few more months. I've picked out the nursery theme (think) and that's it.

I've bought a few hand-me-down baby gear kinds of things from a friend (bouncy seat, travel swing), but otherwise nothing. I still have lots of stuff from my daughter's infancy. We don't need much in the way of gear, anyway-- with my first baby, I didn't ever really put her down for the first six months.

changing table for 10 bucks at goodwill! Quite the score because we needed something like that for dd. Someplace to keep diapers that is. we used my dd's dresser but I don't know what to do with her clothes if we claim it for baby. So....such a deal!

new blanket for 1.00. dd has claimed many of hers.

fleece to make a new snowsuit for my new one. We had bigger sizes (6 months) and although my dd (nov baby) was 9 lbs at birth, I wished I had a smaller one.

on my list to buy:
baby trekker
rocking chair
premie prefolds or flat diapers (we used the flat ones forever for my dd and they are beat!)

on my list to sew:
sleepers
snowsuit
diaper covers

on my dreaming list:
dishwasher -- for pump parts and bottle parts. We have a non functioning dishwasher (which worked for dd) and I can't imagine washing the pump pieces. I anticipate pumping a lot for supply reasons initially and then I'll return to work soon after and will pump some then.

So far, just some cute newborn diaper covers, a small fitted, and a small aio. I don't plan to buy much anything else until early summer.
