Anybody have any suggestions for a really LOUD baby? My 3-week-old sleeps either next to the bed in a side-car cradle thingie or in the snuggle nest in the bed. I am very committed to keeping him in/next to the bed, but he is so loud that I cannot sleep most of the night. He is a major grunter and grunts usually from about 3am on in his sleep. My best solution thus far is to leave the radio on, either on white noise or a talk station to drown him out. But it is not working too well. I still wake up everytime he grunts, about every 3-5 minutes.
Also, my disabled 20mo tends to come in the bed around 5-6am. She cannot sleep through his grunting either. I really don't want her to lose her cosleeping/cuddling time...it makes her feel really secure. But she needs her sleep (otherwise she has seizures) and she cannot come into the bed earlier because she is hooked up to a feeding pump for the first half of the night.
Oh, and DH moved to the den after 2 nights of grunting. LOL!
Any ideas???
