Dilated 1-2cm

Okay... So I just had my 38wk dr appt today. Dr said I'm 1-2cm dilated & baby is -3. This is my 3rd baby.... I wonder when she is going to come.
I've been noticing a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittle bit of cramping, not much.

Anyone else here been dilated 1-2cm for a while? I dont know how long I've been dilated. I suspect it is very recent bcause I've been feeling tiny cramps the past day or so. Do you all think it will be soon that I deliver?? Or do you think it's hard to say?

You could walk around like that for weeks or go tomorrow. No way to tell.

I'm a 'fingertip, but still pretty thick'. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be carrying this baby until she enters kindergarten.

With my 2nd I was 1-2 at 31 weeks and went term. This time I'm not checking so I have no idea where i am...

My mw checked me today and I am 2 cm and 50% effaced. This is baby number 7 for me so I am not counting on it meaning much. It seems like the more children you have the more you dialate before active labor begins.

With my 5th child I stayed at 3 cm for 2 or 3 weeks.

On the other hand it could mean that things are starting to happen and it could be a few days.

I think it's hard to say. I've been dialated about 1cm and having somewhat uncomfortable b/h cx for several months now...

With my first, I was at 2 for at least 5 days before he came.

My 37 wk appt -2cm, 25% effaced, -3
My 38 wk appt- 2.5cm, 50% effaced, -3 lost plug with bloody show next day
My 39 wk appt- 2.5cm, 80% effaced, -3 lost plug confirmed by Doctor
My 40 wk appt- 2.5cm, 80 %, effaced, -1
My 41 wk appt- 2.5cm, 80% effaced, -1
I am now 41w+3 : I have a non-stress test and U/S tomorow and induction set for Saturday at 41w6d, I have had awful BH ctrx since 37 weeks apparently due to an irratble uterus.this is my 3rd too, I pray for you...and me...Good luck..............Tiff
