Is she gifted?

My dd tested for a gifted school. She was not accepted because 4,000 kids tested for 120 slots, so they basically on accepted the top 3%. But they did send me her test results.

She tested in the 94th percentile out of 4,000 kids. They made no recommendations or statements, just gave me the score.

Does that mean she's gifted? If so, what, if anything, should I be doing about it?

I haven't decided where to send her next year for kindergarten. She was selected, by lottery, for two other public schools. One is a Montessori school and the other is a Fine and Performing Arts school. I'm also looking into Sudbury.

Any thoughts or advice?

Those are really interesting choices...public schools? I'm so jealous!

I bet these schools are very different in structure, focus, etc. Which choice best suits dd's personality? That would be my deciding factor. If she is in an environment where she is comfortable, appreciated, and inspired, then the academics will likely fall into place. IMO/E, can't stop a gifted kid from learning, kwim?
