any serger experts out there (in here)?

Thread Starter
hi, i have been having a little issue with my serger lately. cant figure out what the problem is. i have done the clean, oil, and rethread (several times!!). what seams (hee hee) to be happening is, well, i guess i should say first it is a 4 treaded serger. anyway, the stitches from the left needle arent forming. at first it happened when i sewed through thich fabric/several layers/over bumps, iykwim. now it happens more frequently and its really frustrating....aaarrggghhhh. so, maybe something is a little out of alignment, where the upper looper moves over and the thread should catch under the left needle, or it could be the lower loops not forming under underneath. actually, i am just guessing, dont know much about sergers, so it could be anything.
please help, has anyone had a similar problem and can offer advice? thank you in advance, laura.

Too complicated for me to figure out. I'd take it into the sew shoppe and give 'em the $70.

I think you are going to have to take it in and see what the experts say. I had to take mine in a couple months ago because I broke a needle and it wouldn't serge properly any more. It cost me $50.00.

Sorry I could't be much help.
