Nursing mamas getting pregnant in April - Page 2

Congratulations hunnybumm!!!!!!!!!! That is going to feel like a looooong wait! Do you get to talk to him on the phone at all?
Normally I would only get one 20 mintue call a week but since he is working in a place where he is constantly on the phone, he can call this base and have them transfer the call to our house, which is on base. So he said he could probably call me 3 - 4 times a week, for 15 - 20 min.

I don't know if I can keep this a secret from him for that long. I am horrible about keeping secrets like this, ones that aren't a big deal to keep, YK? Like someones deep dark secret. I could totally tell him... this is gonna be hard.

Congrats hunnybumm! I totally wouldn't be able to wait. . not sure if I'd get past "hello" on the phone before telling DH

Congrats Hunnybumm! Our first April success story, may many more follow... I would definitely tell dh on the phone, even tho that's not ideal, but he'll be away so long. Plus, if you tried for it (assuming he knows you did), he may be asking you whether you poas yet, and it might be hard to lie.

Has anyone here tried progesterone cream (or prescription progesterone) to prolong lp? I'm thinking/wondering about it.. I'm already on B6 and just ordered vitex. Last two lp's were 7-8 days (before that the first 2 pp cycles were wacky).

move me to 2ww please!

I'm all for April being a better month. March was an icky month for me...chemical pg, my dad was diagnosed with leukemia and we've been sick for what feels like forever.

On a more positive note, if we caught the eggie this cycle,
my due date would be my dad's birthday, Dec. 19th. I'm really hoping that's a positive omen.

Congrats hunnybumm . I wouldn't be able to wait more than 5 minutes to call dh!

Hello. I belong in this group! I've been trying for about 5 cycles now with no luck. I blame my nursaholic daughter, 23 months. I'm trying to cut her back, but she nurses a few times a night and about every 3-4 hours during the day. I've had a couple of looong cycles where I didn't ovulate until CD 30, and I'm in the midst of one of those now. I'm around CD 30, but I haven't ovulated yet and am having breakthrough bleeding. I'm thinking of trying vitex, actually. I've been searching through posts and it seems safe during breastfeeding. Anyway, good luck to us all, and congratulations Hunnybumm!

Actually DH probably won't even ask. He wants another one, but he is leaving the legistics to me. I tell him "Ok, we have to do it tonight because I am Oing." and that's about as much as he wants to know, LOL. I think I am going to try and wait it out.

I am sending positive baby vibes to this thread and it's members.

Been spotting alot this last week, dont know what the heck it means...

?
For those on vitex? What brand you taking? PIll form, liquid?

Oh heres my chart- confusing as usual...........http://www2.fertilityfriend.com/home/859cb

Congrats Hunny!! I'd get Tristan to tell him... Either "Mommy's pregnant" or "I'm gonna be a big brother" When I got pregnant with DS2 DH was on a outting on his submarine... I had all of our family members send him an email. :LOL It was nice... now him missing the BIRTH part and having to find out about his second son by email was DEFINITELY not part of the cute plan... SO glad we're civilians now! Military life was just not right for this family. My hat is off to any woman who can handle it. Thank you!!!

boobie: that chart looks anov to me... (in my totally-not-an-expert opinion) I've taken vitex twice and gotten pregnant twice, both times I was taking GNC brand pills. The first time Vitex took me from anov cycles to pregnant in about 3-4 months... Good luck!!!

Move me to the 2WW...4dpo today

Congrats Hunny! Brrrr....a december baby. Both my girls were born in the hot months so a december baby for me would be very different.

I'm surprised to be in the 2WW so soon, but I think I'm convinced now that I o'ed. http://www2.fertilityfriend.com/home/23880 I use the fertility monitor and I didn't get a peak reading yet but my cm is totally gone now and my temps have been high, really high, for 4 days. I've heard that the monitor can take some time to get used to you...and I just got it back from a friend who got pregnant her first month using it. Hopefully, next month it will be more accurate. Regardless, I think we got some good bd in.

As for vitex...I got mine at herbmd dot com. I got the planetary formulas 500mg pill form and I take 2 a day, so 1000 mg a day. I know I've mentioned this before, but it has definitely helped me. Got pregnant for month taking it with my 2nd dc...and this time I started taking it 9 month pp before ppaf and I ovulated 7 days after starting it. AND I had a 13 day lp on my first pp ovulation...which is awesome for me. AND now I ovulated on cd16 whereas last time my first pp cycle I o'ed on cd47, then cd27, then cd24. I read that it just helps to balance hormones out.

So if I get pregnant this month I'll be due on december 22. I can't even imagine what christmas will be like if this cycle is a success. Last christmas, my grandfather died...I got the call at 6PM on christmas eve right after we finished dinner. I stayed up all night in a kind of dazed shock while my husband played santa. The whole holiday is a blurr to me. Anyways....

I'm holding out definitely until 12dpo this time to test. Anyone testing around april 12???

Congrats, Gena!

I'm taking the pill form. I can't remember the brand name. I got it from the natural foods section of my grocery store. I'm taking a very low dose - one 80 mg pill before breakfast each day. I figured that I'd start with as low a dose as possible and see how it affects my cycle and milk production. I haven't noticed any difference in my milk production, but I my period was much shorter and lighter this month. I also did not get cramps! Also, I didn't get my monthly mastitis. Every month since getting AF back, I got mastitis on the last day of my period. It seemed like a hormonal issue causing the mastitis, and maybe the vitex is helping with that.

I'm not temping yet this cycle, as I've lost both of my basal thermometers. I don't know how I managed to do that. I did major, major spring cleaning and still didn't find them anywhere.

2 ww please!

I'm 3 dpo. FF says if I conceived the baby will be due Dec. 23rd...my son was born Christmas eve. It would just be too insane to have two christmas babies, but I'll take what I can get : Even though DS's birth was awful, really awful (he has a heart defect and spent 3 weeks in the NICU) and I'm not sure I can handle another christmas birth...I'll still take what I can get :

I've been using progesterone cream, vitex and b-6 (b complex actually) to prolong LP. My LP is 11-12 days, not super short, but I am not PG after 7 cycles, so something is up. I haven't noticed a difference but it's only been 2 cycles. 4 cycles for b-6. I am also taking EPO and black cohosh and omega-3's. I take the nature's way vitex which I got at mothernature.com. Someone told me that vitacost.com has good prices though. My other supplements I get at trader joe's. (prog. cream online though)

Piper I will be testing around April 14th...which will be 13dpo for me, and incidentally the day before my baby was due

Not sure I can handle a BFN/AF on that day.

I'm in a similar situation. DD was due 12/20 but her birthday is 12/31. *IF* I conceived this month FF is giving me a due date of 12/22. Ho Hum, not ideal but I'll take it

Not sure if I can wait until 4/14 to test. .Particularly because I think I O'ed a couple of days before FF says I did.

Wow, that's a lot of mommas moving to the 2ww around the same time. Can't wait to obsess with everyone over their hpt's in a week or two!
Ana, sorry to hear about your dad. Which kind of leukemia is it, do you know? (it can make a huge difference) Hope you (and he, of course) are doing okay.

Please add me.......waiting to O, DD 11months

Wow, another thread I fit in with

Congratulations Hunny!

GL to everyone!

STILL waiting to O, dd now 15 months

Just found this month's thread.

I'm on cd 29. And haven't o'd yet. *sigh* Oh well, I know I will again someday . What really baffles me is the eggwhite mucous on and off . . . does anyone else have this without O'ing?

I think we have to officially put TTC on hold - my cousin is getting married Dec 31, and as it's 2 hours away, I don't want to risk going into labour on her wedding day. I'm kind of sad, but it's only for a month, and I guess dd isn't very old, and I'm still pretty young. But still!!!!!
