TTA, HTA, CTA...APRIL 2005 Thread - Page 2

So, I've been having pregnancy symptoms. Or I just could be obsessing. Which do you think it is?

First, I had a metallic taste in my mouth, which I have heard can be related to pregnancy. It was gone yesterday, but it seems to be back today.

I have sore boobs, which is normal, so I can't really count it.

And starting yesterday, I had to pee a LOT more often than I normally do.

I'm supposed to get af sometime in the next few days. What do you think? Am I just being crazy or could I be?

Hi Persephone,...hmmm what CD did you say you were on? I always thought the first trimester increase in urination was due to the uterus starting to get bigger and pushing on the bladder, then it subsides 2nd tri when the uterus is kindof up and over the bladder then it comes back again 3rd tri when there's no more room... but maybe you could be preggie.. A little embryo can be a powerful thing -
Any "heaviness"? Early on I always felt a lot of "heaviness" in my pelvis.
Oh, keep us posted!!!

CD 28, I normally start no earlier than CD 30/31, but it could be as late as CD 45, and I honestly have no clue when I Oed, so who knows?

I thought I read something about the increase in peeing having to do with hormones, not uterus pushing on the bladder, until the 3rd trimester.

Ah, here is what I think I read: http://www.babycenter.com/refcap/pre...ealth/237.html

But they say it starts later in the pregnancy than I would be at this point, so maybe it's just that I had more to drink yesterday, lol.

Persephone-- anything's possible. I'd go on at length about signals, but truthfully I had no symptoms of pregnancy with BooBah at all until I missed my period. Not one!

Oh, and the peeing has something to do with hormones-- I had to pee constantly with BeanBean from about 48 hours after conception. Seriously.

With all my pregnancies the extreme tiredness hit at about 4.5 weeks, the nausea about 5.5. I don't remember about peeing, but i do remember it started early too. Boobs sore started a few days before expected AF.

P- Yeah, the peeing is about hormones early on. You never know, right. YOu could test now....but I'm an addict so I would :LOL

I'm feeling....odd. The Right of my uterus keeps getting this really dull ache. Ithought maybe it was from sneezing, stupid cold, but it started before the cold showed up. My temps are still high too. They never have dropped down!

Megan, *have* you tested? Perhaps your af was an anomaly of some kind.

Long cycles suck. Talk about playing with your mind. Last month I was 5 days late plus had a really weird af... ack!

Hmm, another cliffhanger thread!

Persephone, I don't know. I can see it either way--being PG or just being paranoid. I've done both, LOL. You know, I was going to mention though, even if you don't want to chart while you TTC it is good to at least note down your signs of O so you can make figuring your EDD easier. Especially if you tend to O later than day 14 which it sounds like you must if your cycles are sometimes 30-31 days long. Those few days can make a big difference in your EDD and when you begin to get pressured for being "overdue." Just my two cents. ANd let us know what happens!

Megan, I think I'd have to test again if I were you... this coming from another testing addict. :LOL

Eilonwy, how was your laser eye surgery consultation? I had it almost 3 years ago and it is awesome! Well, not the surgery itself, but the results are amazing.

Oh yeah, and I meant to add that I need some help figuring out what is going on with me! My temps finally went up about 2 weeks ago, and they've been consistently up since then except for 2 days in a row they were really low about 1 week ago. To put in perspective how odd this is for me, usually my temp is in the 96.8 range and in the first 140 days of charting was only 97 or more 7 times... while now in the last 2 weeks it has been 97 or more every day but 2 (and it was really low those two, 95.9, that is strange also).

I thought I had the symptoms of PMS and my first PP AF approaching, but then nothing and now I have no symptoms anymore. The only other body change I have noticed is a shift (TMI) from near constipation to near diarrhea for the last week. Nothing else has changed that seems significant. If anything, I am temping more consistently now since my DH is giving me the thermometer at the same time every day as he leaves for work.

I tried thinking of other factors... him giving me the thermometer? But how would that change my temp? Has the temperature outside or in our room changed? No, it has fluctuated over this time. Have I been sick? Not that I know of. L was nursing more and now less again. Could I be PG? I'm pretty sure it's not possible, before my temp went up we hadn't had sex for quite a while (~20 days, sick kids) and we've only done it once after my temp had been high and I'd been dry for 5 days. Is this something weird like a shift in my thyroid? A hormonal shift that isn't resulting in AF? I don't get it.

Brainstorm with me please! I just can't figure it out.

Take a test :LOL

My temps have been really high too. check out my chart... www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2127f

I normally have temps arou d 96.5 or so.

What bout your cervix? Are you checking it? Mine is high and soft, it has been all cycle. Its also still tilted really far posterior too.
For once, I don't think there is any reason for me to test! That is saying a lot for me, but I've looked at my chart several times and can't see any way it could have happened. The high temps have corresponded with a low and firm cervix, CM is dry/sticky. Only difference was those 2 low temp days, then things softened up like AF was coming. It all seemed so logical until she didn't show! :LOL

Your chart really does seem weird. I hate to say it, but if it keeps up I would test again!

Can I see a link to your chart??

It's not online anywhere. If you hold on I will scan the paper and post a link though.

Okay, I have the last 70 days of info in Fertility Friend and I will go back and add more back data as I can. I've been charting since November 4 so it's a lot of data. :LOL Here's the link: my long anovulatory cycle....

The recent high temps don't seem quite as extreme viewed here as they do on my paper chart... but it still seems like a weird change in pattern.

Hi everyone. I am on my first chart ever TTA. My husband is currently deployed so I thought this would be a good time to learn NFP. Any advice for a newby would be greatly appreciated.
