Can anyone tell me the differance between interlock (safety stitch), double chain (straight seam), and over-edging??? What is each stitch used for? I have an older babylock and am currently trying to teach myself how to use it. I'm currently working on a pair of patchy pants for my dd, and I'm serging the patches together right sides facing each other on interlock, then opening them to show the seams, if that makes sense. I'd like to know if any one has tried this and if the seams will hold under playing 4yo. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!
