I was thinking of getting DD and DS this doll to bring home when I have the baby in August. Has anyone seen these? Are they worth the money? DD will be a little over 4 and DS will be almost 2.5.

That's an awful lot of money for a doll you can't even see a decent picture of... But I like the idea and the description.
my girls are just as happy with inexpensive or homemade toys as the fancy ones, though, and I've decided against spending lots of money on toys I don't even know if they'll like. DD1 got a dinosaur puppet when her sister was born. It was a "present from the baby" that we kept secret until after the baby was born, but gave to her as soon as she first saw her new sister. She asked me later how the baby could have gotten her a present while she was still inside my bellly, and I told her that the baby told me what to get.

I dont know anything about that doll, but my daughter loved hers when DD2 was born. I do think its a good idea to get one that can get wet or lotioned or washed. That one looks great for that. And I love that the dolls have genitals! DD1 always looked under the diaper on hers and asked why its bottom was "flat".

Exactly what I was thinking. This way DS and DD could take care of thier babies they way that I will be taking care of the new baby. Including baths and such. I also liked that they are anatomically correct. Makes for a more 'real' baby.

I got one of those for ds when he was about 2. I liked that it was anatomically correct (and intact). The doll was however a little wierd looking in the face (complete with a really wierd smile with teeth!). He NEVER, I mean NEVER played with it..it sunk furthur and further into the toybox. He did however breastfeed some other cheapo baby doll we had around the house, and liked to carry it around. It was the right size for him (those newborn dolls are really big for a 2 yo to lug around comfortably). I'd vote for saving the 40 bucks.

Is there anywhere else that I can get an anatomically correct doll?
