It's summer and I want some WINE! - Page 3

I thought our neighbor and Thanksgiving dinner guest was going to flip out when I, 41 weeks pregnant, drank a glass of wine.

I've had a few drinks while nursing dd (wine and mixed) and no pump and dump here. If anything the wine has helped my milk let down. It's never adversely affected my supply. DD has never had any problems (or objected to the taste, or anything). Have a glass of wine.

Oh, I'm so glad I found this thread, it has been so educational.
I couldn't find any good info about alchohol and breastfeeding, except the standard advice of the occasional 1-2 drinks, but no explanation.
And I thought maybe the alchohol accumulated in the milk, but it's good to know it stays the same as blood alchohol levels.

We were living in Sonoma county for the past year and I 'tasted' (two large glasses) a lot of wine while nursing frequently. It didn't seem to affect ds at all, but I still wondered if maybe it could be bad for him.

From what I've read here I think I feel okay about it now.

I don't like how this is the only drinking smiley... there should be a sophisticated bf mom holding a glass of red wine....

I think I usually don't have wine (even though I really love it) because I am afraid to cosleep after drinking wine. I haven't had a glass of wine since finding out I was pregnant and I am afraid I would be sleepy.

If I hadn't enjoyed a glass or two of wine, I wouldn't be pg with #2!

I'd nurse DS to sleep, then DH and I would enjoy our dinner with a glass of wine, or dessert and wine. And then...you know . By the time I went to bed, the wine would have worn off. We cosleep as well, and I never went to bed tipsy.
