this is an excellent read. i would definitely recommend it for people looking to increase their knowledge of themselves and their sexuality, to learn (or learn *more*) about sex, and to explore their relationship w/ their partner.

i had to read some of it for my human sexuality class, and really enjoyed it :LOL ~ it is very explicit at times, but very well-written and funny.

i haven't read *all* of it yet, but i plan to buy a copy to share w/ my partner.

if you're asking if it's erotica ~ it's not. well... not really. but it *does* have some very graphic, well, graphics. they're all line drawings but they are all VERY... accurate.

basically it's a sort of how-to guide. description:

Joannides and his team of researchers present a (huge) book that covers it all, in a very hilarious tone that delivers oodles of info yet remains expressly respectful to the reader at all times. This is an all-inclusive (yet heterosexually focused), sex-positive, non-judgmental tome.

First off, it has the very best sexual anatomy illustrations I’ve ever seen–and I don’t mean drawings that look like cadaver cutlets, I mean clear, bold illustrations that show anatomy for pleasure (as opposed to reproduction) like no other book in print. And trust me, learning pleasure anatomy is the key to giving and getting it good. Anatomy, sex toys, porn, positions, oral sex, anal sex, sex and disability, romance, hair removal, bugs, STD’s, Barbie, birth control, prostate, g-spot, straight, gay, bi, masculine, feminine, parents talking to teens about sex... phew, and I’m only skimming the surface. Good luck finding a topic *not* in this fabulous book. Make this one the centerpiece of your library, and augment with topic-specific books (many are recommended within the text).

NO.

well...... come to think of it......

there are teens in my psych (human sexuality!) class....

and it IS a good resource. probably if i had had something like this when i was growing up, i wouldn't have done half of what i did.

yeah, it would be ok for teens but IMO, parental discussion should accompany it.

this is a GREAT book. I love, love, love, love it. The author is funny. The only thing I don't like are the 80's type illustrations. Still, the book is incredible.
