I have everything on my list for my home birth (I'm 39 weeks) but I'm struggling a little with what kind of 'light foods' might appeal while in labor? Do any of you have any suggestions of what might be nice to have on hand? So far I've bought some gator aid and some fruit juices to water down, I have some dried fruits and nuts and some crackers - any other suggestions?

Probably the best thing to do would be to have a variety of foods on hand that you normally like to eat. Now that I think of it, I probably would have enjoyed a turkey sandwich on that kind of bread that's had the hell processed out of it. I normally drink a lot of orange juice, but I could not bear the thought of it during labor, maybe because I sensed it would be hard on an empty stomach.
